The text listed three charges - one looked suspicious and the other two were legit. I knew it was fishy because they wanted me to ring a totally different number, not my bank’s usual one. After that, I quickly called a number I knew was real to make sure the scammers weren’t still connected. Ended up just hanging up on those dodgy callers.

Received a call purporting to be from my bank regarding an attempt to withdraw funds from my account.

I received a rather unusual message purportedly from NatWest, although there was no phone number provided. It stated, "We need to confirm some recent transactions on your debit card, which has now been blocked. Expect a follow-up message from +44 7897023106 with details of the transactions for your verification." Subsequently, I received a text from that number (which surprisingly turned out to be a private one) listing a couple of so-called purchases that were declined. They instructed me to "Reply Y if you recognise this transaction, but do bear in mind this won’t process the payment. In case you don’t recognise it, please respond with N." Moreover, I also got some automated calls from a NatWest number, 08000113312, alerting me about suspicious activities and prompting me to press 1. It all felt a bit off, so I decided to end the call.
