Got a phone call on the home line from 07868 788990, and the guy asked if I was Mr X, using my last name. He mentioned he was ringing from something like 'Domestic Heating'. When I asked where he had my number from, he just said they were “working nearby”. I told him that sounded like a cold call. He agreed, sorta. I pressed him again about the source of my number, and he said it came from their UK database. Then, when I asked for his name, he just dropped the call.
