I've received a call that supposedly was from the local council, asking for my views on their response to the pandemic. However, if it were genuine, they wouldn’t be ringing from a personal number, nor would they say they'd called when all they did was send a text message (which never came, by the way). Plus, I’ve always been told that when my local council conducts surveys, they provide a paper format, never over the phone. This just reeks of a scam; I wouldn't share any personal information with them!

I got a call from this number “0203468946” and my phone actually flagged it as a scam. Then another call came through from someone saying it was Barnet Council asking for feedback on their services. They told me to press 1 to call them back, 2 to call later, and 3 if I wanted more info. Honestly, it felt pretty dodgy and like a scam to me.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, accompanied by a text that stated: "The Mayor is keen to know your thoughts on policing in London." The interviewer rang me from 020 3740 6920. I’d suggest picking up if they try again or texting back with '3' for further details.

Seems like it’s likely just a scam to me. I find it strange that it's from a mobile and lacks any legitimate sign-off.
