Got a message claiming to be from Virgin Media saying my appointment was booked for 24/02/2017 from 1PM to 6PM. It asked me to reply with 1, 2 or 3 to confirm, cancel or change it. I never made any appointment with them. Pretty obvious scam trying to check if my phone is in use. I just ignored and deleted it.

Got another one, so I just went ahead and deleted it straight away.

I got a strange message too, much like the one mentioned here:

"Hello, this is Virgin Media. Just checking your appointment scheduled on 20/08/2016 from 8 in the morning till 1 in the afternoon. Reply with 1 to confirm, 2 to cancel, or 3 to change the date. Cheers!"

Since I never booked anything with them, I reckon it's a scam trying to see if my phone is live before they bombard me with calls or junk messages.
