Got a text saying someone asked to shut down my account and that I’d get a refund soon. Smells like a total scam to me.

I have a strong suspicion that this could be a con. I've noticed several individuals mentioning they received odd texts from this number too, and in one instance, the Fraud Squad reached out to them afterwards. They were urging me to get in touch with the Dart Crossing toll by using an email and a specific reference number. Luckily, that number turned out to be bogus. I'm truly baffled by what their intentions might be.
