I didnt respond to the text message, instead I called the Capital One Fraud team and they said the text was legit. They blocked my card right away and started looking into the fraud. They also said they’ll send me a new card in about a week. If you’re unsure, just give the fraud team a call.

Same as loads of people here, I looked up the number and it showed as Capital One doing a fraud check. They asked if I'd tried to make a specific purchase on my card yesterday, so I answered.
