I got a message supposedly from Amazon with a link to track a DPD parcel. I had a look and even tried to adjust the delivery date, just out of curiosity. Now I’m a bit anxious - does this mean they can somehow charge me?

I got a text that said it was from Carphone, like Carphone Warehouse, but I hadn’t bought anything so I figured it was probably a scam. Weird thing was, you couldn’t reply to the message or block it, so the only choice was to try and call either Carphone Warehouse or DPD, which just ends up wasting time for everyone involved and doesn’t actually help catch the scammers. Felt really dodgy to me!

Just got a text out of the blue about a parcel supposedly coming for an order I never placed. What’s the point of these scams anyway?

I was just looking up a new phone on carephonewarehouse’s website and even though I didn’t finalise the purchase, I got the exact same text saying the delivery is en route. What’s freakier is that the courier, DPD, actually shows the parcel as set to arrive on that same date... It’s proper unsettling how someone could have managed to tap into this info so well, especially since my laptop’s got pretty up-to-date antivirus and all...

This number just sent me a message saying something like "Your Virgin package is set to arrive on the 24th of July via DPD. For more options, visit www.dpd.co.uk/b/6cd8vg4Hz or reply with
1 = Deliver to neighbour
2 = Friday
3 = Monday". Honestly, I have no idea what they're talking about. Does anyone know how to block these annoying texts?

Heads up everyone, this is definitely a SCAM, don’t reply to the text!

I received a message saying something like "Your Carphone order is due for delivery on..." with a link to track it on DPD’s website. Of course, when I checked, there was no such order at all. Then they ask you to text back if you want to amend the delivery, which is how they trick you into charges. Stay safe!

Got a text from this number saying I’ve got an Amazon delivery scheduled for tomorrow. They asked me to reply if I want it left with a neighbour or if I want to reschedule. Problem is, I never ordered anything from Amazon. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam.

Got two msgs from this number, first one saying I had an order from Elimis coming via DPD. I never ordered anything tho! That was around 6:15pm yesterday. Then today, another msg from the same number saying the delivery’s late because they haven’t got the parcel from Elimis yet. Strange!

I'm dealing with something similar, got a message about a "storm" which threw me off because I did order something from Amazon.
