Don’t ever ring back a number you don’t recognise. And never share any personal details with someone who calls out of the blue. Sounds like common sense to most, but unfortunately not everyone is that cautious. Also, watch out when you block numbers. Loads of phone systems only let you block a certain amount before they stop working properly. Scammers know this and flood people with countless fake numbers that change all the time. Like someone mentioned before, the best thing is to report these calls to “action fraud” and leave it to the authorities to handle.

Got a call from someone saying I owed a debt or something. So, I played along and asked if they wanted my bank card info as well. They caught the sarcasm, acted all offended, and then just ended the call. Too funny.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from some debt agency, but I don’t owe anything like that. As soon as I said that, they just hung up on me. Total scam, for sure. When I tried calling them back, all I got was a busy signal.

Last week, I got a call around 7pm from someone saying they were from Jacobs Enforcements, telling me I needed to “close my account”. Since then, they’ve been calling nearly every day, threatening that bailiffs would turn up at my house if I didn’t sort it out with them. Luckily, I rang Jacobs Enforcements myself and they told me it was a total scam! They even had some info from my credit report, which really freaked me out. Be careful out there - nearly fell for this rubbish!

Just got a call from this number, they were asking about some debt payment. Oddly enough, they only used my first name, not my last. I hung up straight away and blocked the number. These sorts of calls can really stress people out, and something needs to be done so others aren’t fooled into giving away personal info to them.

Just got a call from a bloke who knew my name, said he was from the CAB and mentioned something about me having unsecured debts. I told him that was rubbish and then when I asked why he claimed to be from the CAB, he hung up on me straight away. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I blocked his number, yet an hour later, he rang again, but this time from a local landline with the 01482 code. Same guy too! Honestly, how thick do these muppets think we are? 🙄

Some bloke called me up asking about my unsecured debts, claiming he had my credit info. When I questioned which companies he was on about, he just started calling me an idiot. Tried to get him to put me through to his manager, but he said his manager doesn't waste time on idiots and then just hung up. Hilarious really, but I can see how some folks might fall for this kinda rubbish.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from Citizens Advice Bureau, asking loads about my debts. I knew CAB are a charity and wouldn’t just ring out of the blue, so I asked him straight who he really was. Then he just shouted "F### Off, You Bitch" and slammed down.
