Got a call from a bloke on 07845044623 claiming I'd bagged £285 in vouchers from UK Lifestyle Choices and Barclays. Told him I never took part in any contest, but he said I must've filled in some form in a shop to win. Then he started asking for my personal info. I refused to give anything, realising it was a spam call. He tried to back it up by mentioning my old postcode, but I quickly told him I don't live there anymore, and he just hung up. Reporting this to Barclays now.

Got a call from this number saying they were from Lifestyle Choice and that I’d won £200 in Barclays Bank vouchers??? They said I could use it for gas or electric bills, insurance, or shopping in stores. They asked me to verify my address and postcode and even wanted a star rating for my energy supplier, but the whole thing sounded really sketchy so I just hung up without giving any info. Don’t share or confirm anything with these lot!

Got a call just now, fed them loads of rubbish. The moment I mentioned I’m with Barclays, they dropped the call straight away, blocked number too. Funny thing is, I don’t even bank with Barclays!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Citizens Advice. He told me the Financial Regs Authority had flagged some unpaid debts in my name. When I asked which debts exactly, he just said store cards, credit cards, or loans. I pressed for details and he seemed to get nervous before abruptly ending the call. I don't owe anything, so this felt like a classic scam trying to scare folks into handing over their card info.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who knew my name. Said he was ringing from some Human Welfare Company and asked if I was happy with my gas and electric provider. Told him I don’t have gas. He gave me a postcode that isn’t mine, and I told him that. Then he wanted my correct postcode and asked who supplies my energy. Said they’d had loads of complaints about various suppliers and wanted me to rate mine. He said I could look up the ‘company’ online but I couldn’t find anything. Told him not to call back and ended the call.

A bloke with an Indian accent called me, claiming he'd been told I owed money and said he was a legit government worker. I asked him what exactly I owed and how much, and why he didn’t have that info if he was genuine. He spoke really quickly, and I found it hard to catch what he was saying. Every time I asked questions, he kept trying to cut me off. When I told him to check with whoever was saying I owed money and call me back so I could be sure he was honest, he just hung up.

It was obvious he wasn’t really from the CAB, so I asked which branch he was calling from and where it was located. Then she started talking about some debts I supposedly owed and needed to sort out. He then asked about my gas supplier, if I owned my house, and how old I was, but kept saying he wasn’t after my bank info. I told him the address he gave me wasn’t right, then he just said the freebies were off and wished me a nice day before hanging up.

A bloke from India called me saying I'd won some kind of lifestyle prize draw. He said they’d picked my name and address, and if I confirmed it, they’d send me a brand new computer plus £1600 from Barclays bank. But when I started asking questions, the money suddenly turned into vouchers. Oddly, he had my old address from like a decade ago. I told him to wait while I double-checked my current address, and after a bit he just hung up on me.

I was like, “who’s this?” and he goes “Drew.” I asked, “Drew who?” and he says “don’t you remember me?” I ask again where from, and he says “college.” I was like, “I went to high college,” and he faltered before saying “our college.” These calls just keep getting weirder throughout the day.
