Got a text like this on my phone around 3.30am on May 2nd, which was a bank holiday. It claimed a bloke called Simon couldn’t drop a parcel off at a Northern Ireland address since nobody was in. Absolute rubbish - no one was expecting anything, especially as Amazon had already sent their delivery earlier that day! Obviously, I ignored the offer to ring back and ‘sort out a redelivery’. Honestly, one of the dodgiest scams I’ve seen so far.

AVOID CLICKING THAT LINK - IT'S A SCAM! If you get any dodgy calls or messages like this, make sure you report them to the police fraud site. Just search for ‘Action Fraud’ and head to the ‘police.uk’ website. There’s a section for ‘reporting phishing’ - have a read and fill out the form with as much detail as you can, including any links you got sent. You don’t need to sign up or provide personal info unless you’ve lost money to the scam. The only way the police can keep track of these scams is if people report every suspicious call or text they get.
