Had a rather dodgy phone call from Capquest, those debt collectors. The caller claimed it was a personal matter and proceeded to request I verify my info, like my address postcode and date of birth. Naturally, since it felt like a cold call, I declined to share anything. Curiously, she then mentioned my address from four years back! When I refused to confirm my current address, she insisted I wouldn't pass their security without it. To that, I simply replied, "Oh dear, never mind." Honestly, steer clear of engaging with these types; it’s best not to divulge any personal info!

I received a rather unexpected phone call today from some company claiming to be Mapquest concerning outstanding debts. The caller went on about needing to verify personal information like my address, postcode and date of birth. Given that it felt like a cold call, I politely declined to provide any information. To my surprise, she then rattled off an address of mine from four years back! When I refused to confirm that, she insisted I wouldn't make it through their security checks without disclosing my address. I simply responded with, "oh dear, never mind," and hung up. Just a word of caution: do not share your personal details with these callers!

I’ve been approached about a debt that supposedly dates back two decades. It seems quite dubious to me. I recommend checking out the information from Citizens Advice about debts that may be too old to pursue.
