Seriously, don’t click on any links like that, folks!

Got a text saying it was from Monzo, saying I had to click a link to verify my ID or my account would get frozen. It looked pretty convincing tbh. #### Just watch out for things like this, they’re really sneaky - I almost got fooled for a split second.

A couple of posts down there’s some advice on how to tackle these scams and why just blocking numbers ain’t enough. It doesn’t take any longer to report the calls than it does to leave a comment here. When you report fraud to the police, you don’t need to give your personal info. It won’t be fixed overnight but right now, the police honestly don’t know how widespread these scams are, so they can’t properly deal with it. Your MP’s reply might be a bit ‘meh’, but unless everyone who gets these scam calls and messages steps up and reports them, nothing will change.
