Keen to find out more about shares? Seems a bit dodgy to me!

Picked up the call, but there was complete silence on the other end. Hung up after just a few seconds.

He called claiming to be Alexander Maynard and mentioned something about a shareholding with Rentokill, I think. His Indian accent was pretty hard to follow, and he asked specifically for us by name.

I received a rather odd telephone call from this number, regarding some Lonhro voting shares that they claimed I owned. I explained that, as far as I was aware, I didn't possess any such shares, but they continued to press the issue. They ended up taking my email address, insisting that I had once owned these shares, and promised to send me a document which would allow me to receive a payout of between £7 and £15 per share, on the condition that I sign a non-disclosure agreement. However, I've yet to see any document come through. They mentioned that they obtained my details from the share register, which raises a few red flags for me. Sounds rather fishy, if you ask me.

I got several missed calls from this number on 14th Nov 2018 at 6:43pm, then again on 21st Nov around 2:05pm, 22nd Nov at about 7:36pm, 3rd Dec 2018 in the afternoon (2:19pm), and just today at 3:23pm.

Received a missed call from this number earlier today, which ended up going straight to voicemail. When we eventually checked the message, it was quite something-an expletive-filled tirade saying, 'you absolute tossers.' Quite the professional approach, I must say!

It seems that Zimmerman Capital Management is involved in a rather dubious operation. There are whispers of a hostile takeover by RELX, with intentions to gobble up 51% of the shares. The whole situation is shrouded in a rather convoluted narrative about insurance, which raises my suspicions. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be a case of advance fee fraud lurking behind the scenes.

Received a call earlier today. They proposed an attractive offer to purchase De La Rue shares, but only if I agreed to a non-disclosure contract. I'm baffled as to how they obtained my personal details like my name and home telephone number.
This definitely feels like a con.

I got a phone call from overseas regarding De La Rue shares. The chap had an Indian accent and claimed to be the owner of the company. I ended the call, but then he called back using the same number. He was keen to purchase my shares, saying he aimed to acquire more than 50% of De La Rue. I decided to hang up once more.

I too have received calls from a rather relentless individual. They keep dialling back, much to my husband’s vexation, who ended up unleashing some choice words at the poor caller. It was around seven in the evening, and the answering machine just kept looping that dreadful tune. Quite irritating, to say the least!

I've received my fair share of calls from a rather relentless individual. They seem determined to get through, ringing repeatedly, much to my husband’s irritation - he even ended up losing his temper and gave the caller a piece of his mind! It was around seven in the evening, and our answering machine kept blasting out some tunes in the background, which only added to the annoyance.

I received a call from someone inquiring about Delarue shares and a possible takeover. When I mentioned that I'd already disposed of my Delarue shares, they insisted on getting my email address so I could fill out a non-disclosure agreement. I politely declined and ended the conversation.

A woman with either a Pakistani or Indian accent rang me up, claiming to be from a share trading firm. She informed me that one of the companies I hold shares in is willing to buy them for between £8 and £17 each. I requested that she send me a letter with all the specifics via post, but she insisted it was a first come, first served situation. She warned that if I waited for the details in the mail, I might miss out on the top price being offered. I made it clear that I needed to carefully review the proposal before making any decisions.

I received a call from this number, and the person on the other end claimed they were trying to locate someone whose name doesn’t match with it. They seemed rather irked when I declined to reveal my own identity. Quite an odd situation, really!

My folks have been pestered by someone named Jane Anderson using this number. She’s incredibly relentless and seems keen on purchasing shares, yet refuses to provide any details in written form. Quite dodgy, wouldn’t you say? She did mention an email address: [email protected].

Received a call from a party interested in purchasing my shares. They forwarded a non-disclosure agreement for me to peruse and sign. The call was from WINGBOURNE ADVISORS LLC, which is based in New York, with a US contact number of 001 914 233 5345. Interestingly, I had a similar inquiry back in 2015 from a different number, 001 777 889 7116. Curiously, the 01777 number appears to be nonexistent, as does the 2015 contact, while the American number is functional and indeed connects to the firm’s website at http://www.wingbourneadvisors.com/. It seems they utilise voice-over-internet technology, possibly accounting for the lack of response from the 01777 number. I'm feeling a tad wary about the whole affair but am contemplating proceeding with caution, weighing my options carefully!

I've been receiving calls from this number incessantly regarding a supposed takeover of a company in which I've invested. They've even shot me an email asking me to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which I’ve flatly refused to do. I've requested more comprehensive information about this alleged takeover, yet they haven't bothered to respond. The outfit making these calls is Mayford Capital Partners, and the FCA has given a stern warning to steer clear of them. I'm definitely going to heed that advice.

I've been receiving incessant calls from this number asking for my late husband, who passed away back in 2014. Even though I still hold shares under his name, the persistence of these calls has raised red flags for me. It definitely feels like a scam, so I advise everyone to steer clear of it. Does anyone know how I can effectively block this number from calling me?
