Got a message early morning, about 6.30 on 12th Feb 2022, saying I’d been close to someone with the Omicron variant and to get a test kit by clicking on a link. It didn’t feel right since NHS texts usually come from NHS-NoReply. My mate currently has Covid with a positive PCR test, so I ended up clicking the link just to check. Luckily, the page wouldn’t load and showed a net:: ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE-FAILURE error, like the link was wrong. Pretty clear this was a scam trying to lure me in. Could’ve been serious if the link worked and I entered info. Best to block the sender and delete such messages straight away.
