I’m marking it as 'dangerous' because my 19-year-old autistic son totally lost it - full blown panic attack, shaking and wouldn't come out of his room. Got a call claiming to be from the NHS, trying to get me to click on some dodgy link. Looks like a proper scam, so I'd steer clear of it.

Honestly, if it was from the NHS, the message would’ve showed up from an official NHS number, not some random text. I work with kids who have covid and haven’t received any calls or texts from the NHS asking me to isolate or take tests, I’ve just been doing my own LFTs as needed. Sounds like some dodgy scam, especially considering how poor the spelling and grammar is, and their misunderstanding about how covid stuff works in the UK.

Someone rang me pretending to be from the NHS and wanted me to click on a link. It felt dodgy because the link didn’t look like it had anything to do with the NHS at all. Definitely a scam, so don’t share any info with them!

This was definitely a scam. Someone called claiming to be the NHS telling me I’d been near someone with COVID and to get testing kits. When I checked the link they sent, it wanted my bank info! Totally dodgy, since the NHS provides those kits for free anyway.

This morning I got a message from this number claiming to be the NHS, saying I'd been near someone who "tested positive" and to click a link to get a test. I'm quite anxious, so it scared me initially, but when I had another look, I noticed it came from a normal mobile number and didn't match the legit messages I got from Test & Trace a while ago. I ended up reporting it to Ofcom by texting 7726.
