This number just rang me up, with a woman claiming my laptop was seriously infected. I played along for a bit, even faked jotting down some ridiculously long code she asked me to enter on my device, supposedly to wipe out all the dodgy alerts I’d received. After humoring her for a while, I told her I was recording the chat and that I was onto her scam trying to get into my computer. She went from being super nice to completely losing her cool in a flash! I told her once more to stop calling because she was definitely a con artist.
