This number has rung me at least three or four times now, claiming there’s an issue with my British Gas account and that I supposedly have a dodgy meter. They also mentioned a bill for about £3,000 in unpaid charges. I contacted British Gas myself and they said everything on my account is perfectly fine, no problems with the meter or any outstanding bills.

Got loads of calls from someone with a UK mobile number but I'm pretty sure they were based in India. They kept pretending to be from Scottish Power. I just ignored it and didn’t get involved with the caller.
