Got a call from some bloke saying he was Mike Watson from the CAB, saying I owed money and legal action was on its way. I told him he was talking rubbish and definitely not from the CAB. Asked who his boss was and he said Ryan Adams. He got all annoyed after that, so I just told him to get lost.

Got a call from an Asian lady, she started calling me by my first name. Couldn't really understand what she was on about cos her accent was super thick and there was loads of noise in the background. Ended up blocking the number. Honestly, so fed up with getting these kinda calls. I’ve got more blocked numbers than actual mates saved in my phone now!

Same here, the guy claimed he was from the citizens advice bureau, saying he needed to discuss my debts. I told him I’m not in debt, but he mentioned a payment I’d made to a different bank, which was shockingly spot on. I rang my bank to ask where he got that info and they just said they couldn’t assist.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Ryan at Citizens Advice. He started threatening me with bailiffs! Told him he had no right to scare me like that, then he got even more aggressive and said to just wait and see what happens. This is absolutely NOT Citizens Advice. Don’t trust anyone who calls like this. It’s crazy they can get away with this kind of intimidation. This is illegal! Anyone know where this company is based?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from citizens advice, telling me I’m just making minimum payments and the creditors are taking legal action. I told him if I was only paying the minimum, they can’t do much, then he just told me to F off. Proper rude bloke, these scammers have too much time on their hands.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Advice, said my number was selected for a government scheme to clear up to 75% of my debts. I told him I didn’t owe anything, he asked if I owed £6000 or something. I said no debts at all and asked him to stop ringing me. He let out a weird little laugh, like a child, then quickly said bye as I was ending the call.

Got a call asking if an Eric Roberts was around. I told them no, then the bloke started swearing like mad, using the F word loads. I’m from a mining town in Featherstone, so that was a surprise! I gave him a piece of my mind and ended the call. The guy sounded Asian and his English was pretty bad. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to represent a government dept for debt issues. When I told him firmly to stop calling, he suddenly went off saying “i will ##k you up badly you motherf##ker” and then just hung up. Took a while but he clearly showed his true self - very pushy bloke. On the bright side, if you like messing about, you can have a laugh with him before ending the call. He also rang me the other day from another number (already flagged as dodgy) pretending to be from a different firm, but definitely the same person. Total knobhead.
