This number kept ringing me and since it was a mobile, I finally picked up. They claimed to be from CAB, I said I’d rather chat in person and asked about booking an appointment. He said sure, get in touch with CAB. I then asked where my closest office is. He said Manchester. I’m based in South East England. I told him that’s not right and asked for info. He then spoke to someone in an Asian language and told me to just google it. I told them to block my number and never phone me again!

Got a call on my mobile from someone saying they were George Williams (sounds Indian to me) and claimed to be from the Credit Reference Department. They started with my name (how do they even know that?) and asked if it was alright to chat. I just said no and ended the call - number’s blocked now.

I received a call from someone claiming to offer assistance with my debts. I politely declined, thinking he had disconnected, so I chuckled and ended the call. To my surprise, he rang back, calling me a foolish person for my laughter, saying he’d make me regret it. I inquired if he was threatening me, and he ominously replied no, but hinted I'd see what he meant. What an absolute numpty! I couldn’t help but laugh even harder until he finally hung up. What a pillock!

On 22nd August 2017, at precisely 09:58 in the morning, my voicemail picked up a call from the number 0759 680 6253. Given that it’s a mobile number, I might have been tempted to return the call - however, nowadays, I make it a point to Google any unfamiliar digits first. Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from citizens advice, said I had an overdue credit card bill and that my house was due for a visit. He knew my name and address which freaked me out. Best one I've had in a while, said some really nasty stuff, told me I was doomed and even included my family. Then threatened to come after me tonight, saying he'd ruin me so badly I'd wish I'd never been born, plus a load more horrible stuff. I told him I hope his boss hears this and he gets sacked. He reckoned his manager was right there behind him the whole time: haha, sounds like they deserve each other, doubt either of them will land a job anywhere else.
