Some bloke rang asking for Tracey. I told him he’d got the wrong number since I’ve no idea who Tracey is. Then out of nowhere he shouted at me, "If you don’t know her why even answer you fu•••ng idiot" and just slammed the phone down! Absolutely charming way to start my day off... just what I needed.

Got called like six times straight, and not a single word from the other end, so I just ended the call. These scammers are relentless, always ringing about stuff like PPI, accident claims, solar panels, or even from the pensions folks about some universal credit loan I've supposedly taken out. Another one claimed to be from the Microsoft Windows support, saying my laptop’s loaded with viruses and needs fixing. I’m pretty sure my laptop's security software is top-notch, so not falling for that nonsense.

Got a call from this number, the bloke started talking about credit cards, I told him I don't own any and then he switched his story. I told him I'd looked up the number online and had seen all the reviews, then he hung up. He called back but used a different name this time! Definitely block this one!

This number rang me and the person claimed to be from Citizens Advice, saying my number was chosen from 28,000 people. They said they were here to help with my debts and credits. When I asked where they got my details from and if I could report them to the police, they quickly replied, "Yes, you can do that if you want. I don’t like how you're acting." I told them I don’t owe anything and hung up straight away. Really don’t appreciate these calls. Please block this number, seems like a scam to me.

Then today, a man named Erik, who had a strong foreign accent, rang again and addressed me by my full name. He claimed to be from some borough’s citizen advisory service and insisted I was in debt, asking if I was aware of it. I told him I had no clue about any debts and he just ended the call. Looking back, I probably should have guessed it was a scam since my return calls never got through.

I could hear loads of noise in the background, sounded like some place in Asia. The guy said he was ringing from a “credit investigations centre.” Definitely feels like a dodgy scam trying to nab your personal info.

Never pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers. Just look them up first. If it turns out to be a SCAM, block it straight away. On Android, you can easily set your phone to automatically decline unknown calls.

I told the guy to take my details off because, honestly, Citizens Advice Bureau doesn’t just ring up out of the blue. Then he called again and I kept telling him to delete my info. He kept asking why he should bother. I told him he’s holding onto my data without my okay and probably got it illegally. Then he just hung up on me.

I got a call from some bloke asking if I was the owner of the number, and I said no, mostly for my own safety. When I asked who he was, he claimed to be from some government credit check agency. I quickly told him he was trying to scam me and to stop ringing. He kept insisting he wasn’t, but if it were a real government office, they wouldn't be calling from a mobile number - it’d show as private or unknown. He had an Indian accent, and honestly, without meaning to sound rude, it was exactly like those scam calls you hear about. I got fed up and told him to piss off, and he started getting really rude and told me not to waste his time, which was laughable. I just hung up and will be blocking that number. Fingers crossed the authorities track these idiots down and sort it out.

I got in touch with O2 after loads of calls from this number and ended up having my pay as you go SIM blocked. Now they’re just gonna have to sort out a new one and waste their own time. Just a heads up, if you’re getting annoyed by calls from a certain number and can figure out the provider, ring their fraud team and let them know. They’ve got a responsibility to help because if you go straight to the police, it takes ages to get anything done. Better to stop these calls quick so nobody else has to put up with it.

He answered, "Your boyfriend!" I told him straight, "I don't have one, I'm gay." Then he said, "No, you're a lovely girl, you want to meet up." I just said "No" and hung up right away. Before I could block the number, he called again. Obviously a scam, and honestly, some creeps behind it too! I managed to block him eventually, but just watch out for this kind of rubbish.
