Got a ring from this number earlier. I’m pretty careful about who I share my digits with, so it left me wondering who it could be. Picked up, but there was just complete silence. Tried calling back and it said the number wasn’t recognised. Sorted it by blocking.

Got calls today from some Indian guy asking about my washing machine, but he was using an address that I moved from years back, like 3 years ago. He kept asking if I was switching to Bosch instead of Hotpoint. I just ended the call straight away. Didn't help, had a few more calls later on too!

Got a call from some woman trying to verify my name, but she had it wrong from the start. She kept insisting I confirm it, while I kept asking her what the call was about. She claimed to be from Aviva, so I asked which policies I supposedly had with them. She suddenly got all agitated, asked why I was being rude, then called me a b##ch before slamming the phone down. This was the fifth call in just two days, but this time it was a different number from the mobile one that kept buzzing me before. Honestly, customer service must be going way downhill if they're sending out these pest calls!

Got a call earlier from someone saying they were with some Claims Company out of Leeds, dealing with PPI stuff. They wanted my bank details and date of birth to send me some forms, which sounded dodgy. Turns out, that company isn’t even registered in Leeds. Pretty sure it’s a scam/phishing attempt. I’ve already reported it - this bloke seems to be busy ringing a lot today.

Got two calls within hours from a bloke who sounded foreign and weirdly already knew my name. Both times he just hung up on me. Did not hang about, blocked the number straight away.

People keep ringing me looking for someone called Oliver Adams, and it's from random numbers each time. I've actually saved around 50 of them under 'ignore' in my contacts. Funny thing is, not one of those saved numbers has ever called me again. I had a look on this site and loads of others seem to be getting repeatedly bothered by the same number too. Is there even a way to report this or not? Seems pointless if you can’t.

Got a call from a bloke with an accent asking me who I was. I joked that I was a burglar and that the homeowner would come home from work to find everything nicked. After I said that, he just hung up on me. Not sure what made him do that!

I got a call from a lady but I kept telling her I couldn’t hear properly as I’m pretty deaf. I asked her to speak louder, but she was so rude, snapping that she spoke loudly enough for anyone to hear. Then she just hung up on me.

He even knew my name and postcode which creeped me out a bit. Then he asked me to confirm my age range - that’s when I clocked it was a scam and just ended the call.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from Aviva, sounded Indian. He had my old address but was pressing for my new one. I told him I wasn’t comfortable sharing that. Then he asked if I was a customer of Aviva or Legal and General. When I asked what he needed the info for, he just kept pushing to get my address. After I asked again why he needed it, he just ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke who sounded Pakistani, claiming to be from Nationwide. He asked me to confirm my age group and already had my address and postcode. The background noise made it sound like he was in some busy call centre. I tried ringing the number back but it said the number doesn’t exist. Best to just ignore this number altogether.
