At 5:01am I got a text claiming to be from "Lloyds Bank", which was odd since the legit texts always come from "LloydsBank" without the space. The message said I'd get another text soon, and one minute later I got a message from 07537 432249 saying my card was used for a £150 purchase at PROSQU but it got declined. It asked me to reply YES or NO to confirm if it was me. I checked my bank account and there was no sign of this payment pending. It all felt very dodgy, so I just ignored the texts.

At precisely 5:01am, I was startled by a text from "Lloyds Bank," which is unusual for me, as they typically send messages from "LloydsBank" without the space. The initial message claimed I would get another shortly, and true to its word, one minute later, I received a second message from 07537 432249. This one informed me that my card had allegedly been used for a £150 transaction at PROSQU, which, thankfully, had been denied. Curiously, it asked me to respond with a 'YES' or 'NO' to confirm whether it was legitimate. However, my bank account displayed no pending transactions. It all seemed quite dodgy, so I decided to disregard it.

Got a message saying my card was used and they even mentioned last 4 digits, then asked me to press any key. Seemed fishy to me.

Yeah, it was really Lloyds Bank, someone tried to use my card yesterday and it got declined. The card was still with me, but you never know if scammers have copied the details somehow. I replied NO to the text saying it wasn`t me. They halted the transaction and I rang them to make sure everything`s okay, they`re going to replace my card.

Got a text that looked like it was from Lloyds Bank. I logged into my online account and spotted a suspicious transaction that I hadn’t authorised. Rang Lloyds on the number on the back of my card and turns out someone tried to use my card fraudulently twice, trying to take £500 altogether. If you get a message like this, definitely double-check with your bank. Luckily I managed to freeze my card in time and didn’t lose any money.

Got a call from Lloyds Bank as they spotted a dodgy attempt to use my debit card in a different part of the country. They stopped the payment and contacted me straight away. I phoned their fraud team and the call and text were definitely legit. Really don’t ignore if you get one of these!

this is no scam. i called halifax myself today and they said both 07537432249 and 03453611686 are legit. dont just ignore the text from halifax. when i rang them, i discovered someone was using my card info to buy stuff at argos. if youre not sure about the numbers, just call the number printed on the back of your debit card to double-check.

So it really was Bank of Scotland after all. We got texts first, then calls from an 0345 number which we just didn’t pick up. Eventually, we rang the bank on a different number we found ourselves and it turned out it was truly them.

Just got a weird text sayin my Lloyds debit card was used? It said my card ending 4447 made a purchase on 23-09-2018 at 3501 Richmond Rd for £232.11. They said the money hasn’t come out yet and asked me to reply yes or no if it was me. If I say yes, it won’t actually take the payment out. Bit sketchy if ya ask me.
