Got a sketchy text saying they were confirming a payment was legit, but it wasn’t the regular Lloyds contact link I know. Still waiting to find out if everything went through alright with the payment I actually made using another method.

Somebody called pretending to be from Lloyds, saying a card had been used for a purchase with a business. When I rang back, they wanted me to verify my identity by giving my birth year, then keying in the day and month of my birthday. After that, they asked me to enter a code from my answerphone message, which I obviously didn’t have.

this looks like one of those clever credit card cons. watch out, folks!

I've been getting texts saying they're from Lloyds Bank, and then calls come through from 0333 045 9643 with some robot voice also saying they're from Lloyds. Seems like a scam where they’re pretending to be the fraud team. Definitely dodgy.
