They rang me up and straight away asked who I was (not my name) but I just played along like it was. I used an accent so they wouldn’t recognise my real voice. It was a foreign woman on the line, with loads of noise in the background. She said they wanted me to do a survey. Being cheeky, I told her I was 102 years old. Then I asked, "Can I ask you something? You’re a scam, aren’t you?" She went silent for a few seconds, then suddenly denied it and started explaining her job. I just cut her off and said, "I haven’t got time, you lot are all scams."

I spotted the number and assumed it might be a mate 'cause numbers starting with '07' are quite common round here. So I answered and was surprised to hear a foreign accent, thinking it was one of my pals having a laugh. After about half a minute, they began to try and get me to do some survey.
