02045099674 rang me saying they were from BT or Openreach, telling me "Your internet's been cutting out again, just like last year." When I asked for specifics, they suddenly said the phone line was down. The woman on the line sounded like she might be from the subcontinent, plus I could hear loads of noise and loads of people talking in the background. I've labelled this number as dodgy and possibly dangerous.

You’ll find a couple of comments below that go into more detail about these types of scams. The reason we keep getting bombarded with calls and messages like this is because sadly, some of the more defenceless people end up falling for these tricks, handing the scammers easy, untaxed cash. But another big reason is that most folks don’t report these dodgy calls and texts at all. Without reports, the police and other agencies have no real clue how big this problem is. So please, do your bit - always report scam calls or texts. It’s as quick as putting up a post here.

We keep getting bombarded with calls and texts because unfortunately, some folks end up falling for them and end up supporting these crooks' easy, tax-free income. But also, the flood of these calls continues because hardly anyone takes the time to tell the police about these attempts to steal from us. Without those reports, the police can’t really understand how widespread this problem has gotten.

Just got a call from Jamie, saying they came to drop off a parcel but no one was home. They want me to pick another day for delivery through this link: https://local-depot27[.]com. Seems a bit odd, not sure if it’s legit.

Got a message from 07529673962 today, and I’m telling you, it’s definitely a scam! The link they sent was local-depot27.com, and my partner was actually home when it came through. Please don’t trust it or click on the link, it’s dodgy news.
