Im with BT and its defo them, they are forcing everyone onto BT digital voice. According to the emails ive got my switch over is fri, and they phoned me today but i missed it. You dont actually order anything, BT just does it for you. The call is just to let you know and they play some recorded stuff. Its not scammers asking for info like some say, thats just wrong. From what folks are saying, this COULD BE BT but as far as I know, BT doesn’t have my mobile number. Even if they did, why are they not ringing me on my BT home phone? If you look on the BT website, this number is actually registered to them so it’s safe to pick up. Just type the number along with BT into any search engine and it should bring up their site with a list of all the numbers they use.

The BT site is really hard to navigate. Can someone tell me the exact web page where this mobile number is listed? BE CAUTIOUS!!! It’s safe to answer the call but don’t share any personal details. Don’t even say your name!!! And NEVER click on any links sent to you!!! I reckon this number might be fake or if it’s real, could be cloned by scammers trying to steal your info. Today, I received a rather curious phone call from an individual claiming to be a technician from BT - an Indian chap, no less. He was eager to “sort out my computer” and mentioned potential security issues with my broadband connection. Normally, I wouldn't fret over such matters, but this fellow was quite the character! 07520 652012 - yeah, this is definitely BT. I got texts from this same number about my broadband order last year, with all my info and the tracking for the gear they sent. They rang me today but I missed the call and wasn’t sure who it was till I saw what everyone said about the digital voice upgrade. I checked the texts from this year and last year - still the same number. So it’s legit, no worries :). We get so many spam and scam calls we just block them all, but this one was nearly mistaken.

Saying they’re from BT but the number didn’t match any texts we’ve had from them before. It was about the Digital Voice changeover. The info looked legit but you can find it online anyway. So, I’d be careful. I’ve sent it over to BT’s scam reporting number, 7726. Would recommend others do the same. Check out BT’s site for advice if you think you’ve been sent a dodgy text.
