Just like others have said, the caller said they were from the credit team at Citizens Advice, said it was ‘free’. I asked where they were calling from and he said Manchester. I told him that couldn’t be right because Citizens Advice here wouldn’t contact anyone without prior permission - then they just hung up.

Got a call from 07518 587 788, some asian bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice Bureau. He asked if I had any debts so I said yes just to see what he’d say. Then he started going on about how terrible it is to have debts over £5000 or £10,000 and how my bank isn’t happy with my repayments. I cut him off and asked which bank gave him my info - he didn’t have a clue and just went on chatting rubbish. When I told him I don’t even have debts, he hung up. Later, I got another call from 07557535032 saying exactly the same nonsense.

Got a couple of calls from a bloke with an Asian accent on 07518 587788. He knew my name, which freaked me out a bit. Claimed he was from the Fraud Investigation Office. Got a call from a guy with a strong Asian accent, said he was ringing from the Citizens Advice Bureau in London. Obviously he wasn’t, cos he couldn’t show any proof. He started talking about some debts I supposedly have (which I had no idea about) and just hung up when I asked for the CAB registration number. He tried to say it was something like BK01, but that’s rubbish. Def not from the CAB. I’ve reported it to the Police. This kind of scam is illegal, trying to trick people for money like that.

Yesterday (01/11/2017) I got a missed call on my mobile from this number. When I rang back, it just kept ringing busy. Got a call today, they only knew my surname tho. Started asking if I had any personal loans, claiming they could wipe off 60% (like I’d fall for that!).
