Total rip-off! I was convinced it was my mate Emma calling, since her mum's number popped up or something like that. The message went on about her being in hospital and breaking her phone after a fall. But just to be certain, I rang Emma myself. Good job I did, otherwise who knows! Be careful out there, folks. Glad I didn’t lose any cash. Seriously, don’t hand over money to anyone asking like this.

Got a call from someone saying she was Emma, sounded the same as all the others reported here. I know a real Emma so I didn't think twice about it. Turns out, I'm £20 down now. Didn't share any bank info or anything, just blocked the number. Fingers crossed that's the last I hear from her.

I received a text saying it’s Emma. She said not sure if I’ll get the message as the signal is rubbish at the hospital. Apparently she had a nasty fall earlier today and needs surgery. Asked me to text back as soon as I can.

So I just got a text off some Emma asking me to reply - no idea how much that’s cost me already. Thinking we might have to get in touch with our phone companies about this. I’m really curious how they even got hold of our numbers in the first place. I also got caught up in that Equifax data breach a while back. Has anyone else been through that?

So this number sent a message to my Grandma claiming to be Emma asking for cash to buy an EE phone credit voucher. It was a bit worrying 'cause my Grandma actually has a grandchild named Emma. But then she spotted that the message was coming from an O2 number, not the usual one Emma uses. She looked up the number online and found loads of warnings about it being a scam. Phew, dodged a bullet there! Definitely a SCAM.

Today, this number sent my mum a message saying it was Emma, who’d had a fall this morning and was now in hospital waiting for surgery. Since my name’s Emma, my mum got really worried straight away. Thankfully, she thought to call me on my mobile to check if it was true. She wasn’t tricked into handing over any cash, but I’m sure not everyone would be so lucky.

On Sunday, this scumbag conned my 81-year-old mum, pretending to be Sarah with a broken arm in hospital. She ended up losing £40, but it could’ve been much worse. Just really wish I could catch them. Everyone needs to be on their guard with these tricks.

I got a message from this number, supposedly from someone called Sarah who said she was in hospital with a broken arm. She asked me to buy a phone top-up and send her the code, but never said which hospital she was in. After I replied, the same number then messaged one of my friends with the details I’d sent. Quite creepy, really.
