I’ve been with Prestige Limited for a while now, and I got a brand new Samsung A16 through a monthly contract starting in February. From my time dealing with them, I can honestly say they seem legit and trustworthy. I haven’t come across any dodgy behaviour or scams from their side. If anyone doubts it, I can back it up with the phone and contract I’ve got from Prestige Ltd.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Prestige Telecom about an O2 mobile number. Since I'm in the telecom industry myself, it was pretty obvious to me that the call wasn't coming from a legitimate company like Prestige. Feels dodgy to say the least.

Ziron Limited, who actually owns this number? This company basically deals in selling phone numbers, mostly to scammers trying to trick people. They provide both landline and mobile numbers, along with a list of numbers that scammers can call. So if you get a call from a VoIP number linked to them, it means you’re on their calling list.

They claimed to be from BT and mentioned my 02 number. Asked if I worked for myself. I told them no and to stop ringing me. Totally a scam, watch out. They tried to say they could lower my rate. Since when does 02 call you to offer a cheaper deal? BT and 02 are completely different firms!

Thing is, my phone’s part of a family plan and it isn’t even registered to me, so no idea why they’re trying to sell me something like that. Looks like the call was coming from somewhere like India or Pakistan (no offence intended, just saying how it seemed). Some guy rang me up saying I had a nasty virus on my Windows PC that’d destroy it. I’m pretty tech savvy, so I knew right away there was nothing wrong - no virus showing up on NOD32 or Malwarebytes Premium, and I run Linux too! Funny thing, the caller started using slang and even made some rude comments about my missus, calling her some awful names. Just thought I’d share so you all can watch out for this kind of scam.
