Since early September, I keep getting calls from +44 7488 801*** and every time I block one number, they ring me right back from another one but still starting with 07488 801***. It’s really annoying now, feels like harassment at this point.

Ziron Limited, who is behind selling this number, seems to be in the business of handing out phone numbers mostly used by scam artists to trick folks. They deal with landlines and mobiles, and then give out lists of numbers that scammers use to ring people. So if you’re getting a call from a VoIP number linked to these sellers, chances are you’re on one of their call lists. Honestly, it might be a good idea to just block 07488808102 along with any other number beginning with 074888.

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I let it ring out. I looked it up here afterwards and decided to block it. The same number, ending in 09, has called me before today. Seems like they just bought a batch of numbers to dial from.

Got called a few times today from Prestige Telecoms, three different numbers in fact. They claimed it was about an O2 phone, but when I said I didn’t have one, they asked if I was with any of their sister companies like EE, TalkTalk or Tesco Mobile. I told them I wasn’t with any of those either, so they said they’d remove my number from their calling list.

I received a message from Prestige Telecom stating that they attempted to reach me but would ring back when it's more suitable. The funny thing is, I never actually contacted them, so it seems their auto-dialler might be a bit faulty! :) This is the second time they’ve tried to get in touch, but with a different number this time. I keep getting missed calls from this number and I can't find a single thing about it online. Looks like it might be a call centre using robo calls to check if the number is active or something. I never pick up unknown numbers anyway, and they didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. Has anyone else come across this number? Just a heads up, it seems to be a shared cost number, so best not to ring back just in case.
