Got a call from this number, some bloke claiming to be from a company named Prestige. He said they might help me cut costs on my O2 mobile plan. I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving out any personal info over the phone, especially since it was an unexpected call. Then he said he’d need my bank info to proceed and just ended the call.

I picked up and after a moment this woman said her name was Nick and that she was ringing from Prestige Telecoms. I just ended the call immediately since I wasn’t interested. Feels like O2 must be sharing their customers’ info with other companies who then push phone deals at you. Really shows they don’t care about their own customers at all!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with ‘telecom’ for EE. They tried to sell me upgrades but I told them I was quitting because it’s too pricey. Then they seemed to forget I was already an EE customer and awkwardly said ‘erm your provider’ or something like that. Definitely a scam, steer clear.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Action Fraud, asking if I’d had any dodgy calls lately. I told him I wasn’t convinced he was legit and he said he’d send a letter to confirm. I’m gonna wait and see if that actually turns up but judging by what others have said, I’m not getting my hopes up.

They said they were from EE and asked if I was still self employed. Then they went on about some early upgrade deal and cheaper prices. Told them I was away on holiday and to ring me in a couple weeks. Looked them up here and saw loads of scam warnings, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

She sounded really nice and claimed to be from O2, mentioning she knew I’d just set up a LTD company. She said there was a better business plan I could get but needed to ask some questions first. I asked if she could send the questions by email, but she said no. Then I asked her to ring back another time. Later, I looked up the number and realised it was a scam. I've blocked it since.
