Got a call twice in just a couple of days from a number with a very strong Indian accent - it’s definitely a scam so I’ve blocked it now.

The connection was rubbish and the bloke had such a thick accent, I struggled to understand a thing. Running a small business means we get loads of calls from people pushing card readers or trying to offer better deals. When he mentioned credit cards, I thought that’s what the call was about, but maybe he meant the actual credit cards. He kept asking about our monthly fees (which we don’t have) and the fees we pay as a percentage. Then he actually asked me to email him my statement! As if I’d do that.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from UK Choice. He said he wasn’t selling anything, just needed half a minute of my time. He even mentioned an old address of mine and asked me to verify it along with my name. When I asked him what company he was with, he made this weird 'ugh' noise and immediately cut the call. I’ve blocked the number now.

Be careful, these people are dodgy. I reckon they want to get you to record yourself saying something about a fake deal or scam. It’s really horrible behaviour and could easily fool someone who’s not on the ball.
