I got a call from someone claiming to be with Dreamhome Council Property Maintenance. He wouldn't share any company info, saying it was “under data protection.” I told him that in the UK, company details are public info. Looks like total scammers to me. They’ve been ringing me every day.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with the council, asking if I was a tenant. I didn’t bother wasting time, knew it was one of those scam calls. Bit odd an Indian lady was claiming to be from a Welsh council, what’s next?

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming she was with my housing association. I asked her which one and she said “Beauty Homes.” That’s not anything I’ve heard of, so I told her she must have the wrong place. After that, I just blocked the number.

When I asked a bit more, the woman said they’re based in Manchester but admitted she had no clue where in the UK I live, just whatever popped up on her screen was used to call me. Felt a bit fishy to me.

I saw the number was unfamiliar so I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail either. After looking at the other comments, it seems like it’s probably some sort of scam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call sayin my internet’s goin off in 24 hours ‘cause they wanna check for illegal stuff. They told me to press 1 to sort it out. Sounded dodgy to me.
