At the start, this person sounded alright, so I asked what they were selling. They said they weren’t selling anything, then outta nowhere called me a bloody woman! Honestly, I was shocked - never experienced that kinda abuse over the phone before.

A guy with an Asian accent claimed to be from C.A.B and said he had info about my loans, promising to slash what I owed by 70%. The call didn’t sound very professional, he seemed quite unsure. I instantly felt it was a scam but decided to play along to see if he'd ask for my info. He said he would share details about my loans and debts, but I quickly told him that any info was strictly between me and my lenders, and I’d only talk to them directly. I also said if I needed help like that, I’d reach out to someone myself. That’s when he just hung up on me!

I just got a call from a guy claiming he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau and could assist me with my debt. I told him I was already sorting it. When a debt collector calls saying you owe money, dont just agree to pay right away. You should ask them to send you a written validation notice showing exactly how much you owe. Legally, they must provide this in writing. If they refuse or don’t send it, it’s likely they’re not legit and could be scammers.

I received a rather vexing call this morning from a chap claiming he acquired my details from the Competition and Markets Authority, pursuing me about some supposed debt. I was utterly baffled! Naturally, I requested the name and contact details of the AMC so I could verify who in their right mind would share my information without my consent in breach of GDPR regulations. To my surprise, he promptly backtracked and suggested I disregard his call entirely! What I’m intrigued by is how our personal information, including phone numbers, can be floating around when GDPR clearly stipulates that no one has the right to use our details without our explicit permission. Got a call on my mobile from a very polite lady with an accent, who somehow knew my first name straight away! She asked how I was doing today. I told her I didn’t recognise the number or the voice, and I wasn’t answering any questions unless she told me who she was. She then said she was ringing from the Citizens Advice Bureau about some debt help I supposedly asked for (which isn’t true). I quickly told her she wasn’t from the CAB and I never got in touch with them about debt… and she just hung up mid-sentence. To me, that sealed it. I’ve since reported this to the CAB.

Got a call from a hidden number, but when I tried ringing back it said call not available. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Citizens Advice, I told her I wasn’t buying it and then she just dropped the line. What a load of rubbish!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the citizen's bureau or something 😂 He wanted me to pay him so he could "help" me make money. I blocked the number, but guess what? He called me again today 😡 When I told him CBA doesn't call people like that, he got proper annoyed. I asked him to take my number off his list, and he just refused. Ridiculous!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was from the Credit Investigation Department. She kept asking for my card information - definitely a scam! Never share your details with anyone like that. Make sure to jot down the number and report it right away. Watch out, these are scammers trying to trick you!

Got a call from someone claiming they were with the "credit investigation department".

I just got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming he was from some debt collection agency. When I asked which company it was, he replied "Manchester." I told him I had no idea who he was and asked him not to ring me again. That's when he suddenly shouted some awful words at me, something like "f##k off you c###t!" Honestly, this is disgusting behaviour and they really ought to be taken to task for it.

Got a call from 07415 073903, some bloke with an Indian accent trying to trick me into giving my bank info for a debt I’m pretty sure I don’t owe. Seemed dodgy to me.

Nearly every day, I get calls from this number ‭07415 073903‬. As soon as I answer, the person on the other end just drops the call straightaway. It’s super annoying!

Got a call from some bloke saying I owed money or something, which is totally not true. Asked him for their website and postcode to check, and then the guy, who had an Asian accent, just cut the call. Total scam, definitely.

I got a call from this number earlier. Some bloke said he was calling from Citizens Advice Bureau and started going on about 'warrants' supposedly out on me. I played along and said I was a working Copper (which I'm not), and asked where he’d got that info from. I could hear a surprising “OHHH” before he just hung up.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said he was from the citizens advice office. He started rambling on about some debt I supposedly had. It was clear from the start it was a scam. I told him how awful it was to trick people like that and said I’d be reporting him. Then, surprisingly, he just hung up!

Saw a missed call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I didn’t want to risk it and just blocked it straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were with ‘Citizen Welfare’ or something like that, talking about debts I supposedly owe. I told them I don’t owe anything, then they just ended the call. Blocked them straight away.
