I saw this number pop up in my texts. There was a message sent to it that looked like it came from me saying "Can't talk right now. Give me a ring later?" But for sure, I never sent that message.

Got a call from an Indian guy called Sam claiming he was ringing from citizens advice. When I asked him where he was, he said Manchester. I asked for their address and he said something like Piccadilly Palace in Piccadilly. I joked that sounded more like a hotel, but he didn’t seem amused. Then I asked for the full address and when he gave me a postcode close to my place, I realised he was being dodgy. Definitely a scammer, blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying I’d won a prize and they needed my address to send it. He kept pushing me to confirm where I live and was speaking really quickly. When I asked where he was calling from, he just ended the call.

Aah, got a call from a lady with a strong accent claiming she was from some citizens group in Manchester, saying they’d picked me to help clear my debts through a charity program. I asked how I could be sure it was genuine, and she suddenly got quite rude when I kept questioning her. I told her I had every right to know who I was dealing with. Then she asked if I could pay £80, and when I said no, she just ended the call straight away. Would definitely advise not to pick up or share any info if this number rings you!

Some bloke kept calling about IVA stuff, I kept telling him no thanks, but he wouldn't quit yakking. Eventually he caught on and just told me to "go to hell" before hanging up. Starting to build up quite the list of numbers I've blocked now!!!

I asked her where they got that info from and she mentioned something like “the FCA”. I didn’t catch the full name but it sounded like “Financial C---- Authority”. I told her no official Authority would share info like that and that she wasn’t really from Citizens Advice. She ended the call straight away.
