Got a robo call warning me my internet was acting weird and they’d cut it off in 4 hours unless I talked to someone by pressing a button. Didn’t press anything and my connection’s still fine. Sounds like a total rip off, most likely trying to get me to call a pricey number to chat with some so-called ‘agent’.

Got a call from this number, some bloke pretending to be from BT, claiming that a member of my family had been caught hacking into banned sites. He said if I didn't want to get nicked, I had to let him on my computer to wipe all the evidence. I played along for a bit, while he kept calling me "lovely lady," but as soon as I told him to get lost, he called me ugly. Honestly, my biggest fear is that they might trick someone who’s more vulnerable than me.

Today, they left a message saying they’re from HMRC and threatening legal action over supposed tax fraud! They want me to call back straight away. I rarely pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. If it’s important, they’ll leave a proper voice message, not some robotic nonsense. I usually check this site first or ring back using my work phone to see what’s what. This particular number cuts off right after the first four digits are dialled. After going through the comments here, I’m labelling it as risky - it’s clearly a scam designed to steal cash or hack you. Just one person falling for it means they’ve done their job for the day.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky, saying my internet was slow because of a virus. He asked me to access my computer so he could check it out. Then he tried to pass me over to some other person who supposedly would point out the virus file. I ended the call straight away. I got a call from someone claiming there was a problem with my internet and they wanted to fix it. The last time I got this sort of call, they asked me to use TeamViewer and share my partner ID and password. I didn’t feel comfortable with that because they’d basically have access to everything on my computer, so I ended up just hanging up. After that, they kept ringing me about five more times on the same line, and now they’ve just tried calling me on my other number as well.
