These callers are really annoying! They rang me once and I was polite, letting them talk until they started asking for my Medicare info. When I said I don’t share personal details over the phone, they got really cheeky. Now they’re ringing me like 8 times a day, it’s driving me mad! I honestly wish I could just get to one of them and give them a piece of my mind. They’re just desperate for money, nothing more! I’ve completely lost any respect I had for Indian telemarketers. Just wanted to chime in as someone who’s getting really fed up with these calls - it’s non stop, from morning till night, every single day. It’s alright when I’m at work but once I’m home or on my days off, it’s really annoying. Trying to teach my kids to respect people working hard is getting tricky when these scammers keep ringing, either fishing for info or just dropping the call. I’m seriously thinking about registering on the Do Not Call list. Hopefully, the genuine charities that do manage to get through will be courteous and accept a firm “no” without pestering.

We kept getting calls at work from someone who kept insisting they weren’t a telemarketer, but then started pushing deals on us. It was so frustrating when all we wanted was to focus on our tasks.

Its so annoying when i get calls after 8 in the evening on weekdays. Lately i get like 5 calls a night, and they just hang up either right away or after a bit of me trying to figure out who they are. They claimed to be from Telstra, but the person had a really strong accent and the connection was awful. When i asked what time it was they got it totally wrong. They were trying to convince me to move my phone service over to Telstra. After all these frustrating calls supposedly from Telstra, i’m honestly thinking about switching all my business with them to someone else.

Cheers for sharing this info! We’ve been getting calls non-stop, like 8 in the space of an hour, and honestly they just chuckle when we answer. Thinking of getting ready with a whistle for the next round. They really don’t help real telemarketers with all this annoying behaviour.

I’ve had about 20 calls from them in just the last few hours, and it’s getting pretty irritating now.

Over the past couple of days, this number kept ringing me non-stop, like more than 20 times. They tried to convince me they could offer a discount on my phone plan, which is nonsense. When I said I actually work for Telstra and don’t need any offers, they called me a liar. Also, they refused to tell me their name, what company they represented, or give any sort of ID or registration number. I’m still trying to figure out who exactly they work for - lucky for them I haven’t uncovered it yet.

They’ve rung me up several times already today and it’s not just today, they seem to call quite a bit on other days as well.

I get calls from these lot almost daily, sometimes 5 or 6 times in one day. They’re always pushing cheaper phone plans. Even when I tell them I’m not keen, they just keep at it. I reported it to Telstra and they mentioned I could block the number. But since I run a business, blocking them also stops me from diverting my landline to my mobile when I’m out of the office. So instead, I just blast an air horn down the receiver - works like a charm! :)
