What a rude set of pests! They contacted me initially, and I politely listened to what they had to say until they asked for my Medicare number. When I declined to provide any personal information over the phone, they became extremely rude, and now I receive at least eight calls from them daily. It's incredibly irritating, and I sometimes wish one of those unpleasant telemarketers was nearby so that I could express my frustration. However, resorting to violence is never the solution. These individuals are just seeking money, but it doesn't excuse their behaviour. I've lost respect for all Indian telemarketers as a result.

Hello, I too find myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the constant stream of phone calls I receive throughout the day. It's not particularly bothersome when I'm at work, but during evenings and days off, it becomes quite overwhelming. It's becoming more and more difficult to teach my children about respect and understanding for those who are simply trying to make a living, as they are constantly interrupted by these persistent scammers demanding personal information or abruptly hanging up. I've decided to take action by signing up for the Do Not Call register. Hopefully, this will allow me some relief from these unwanted calls. While I understand that some charities are still permitted to contact me, I hope they will show decorum and gracefully accept my refusal if I am not interested in their cause.

It's really frustrating when I receive phone calls after 8pm during the week. I get about five calls every night, and most of the time they hang up immediately or after a short conversation where I try to figure out who they are. The callers claim to be from Telstra, but they have a heavy accent and the line quality is poor. When I asked them what time it was, they didn't know and gave me the wrong answer. They were trying to persuade me to switch my phone line to Telstra. Their continuous annoying calls on behalf of Telstra actually made me consider switching any Telstra services I currently have to another provider.

Thank you for providing us with all this information. We have received 8 calls within the past hour and it is frustrating that the callers simply laugh at us. The person on the other end claimed that they would provide me with a discounted phone service, even though they had no knowledge of my current service provider. When I mentioned that I work for Telstra and therefore have a free phone service, they accused me of being dishonest. Interestingly, they refused to share any information about their name, company, ABN (Australian Business Number), or ID number. I must say, they're fortunate that I haven't been able to determine which organisation they are affiliated with.

Despite repeatedly expressing my disinterest, they continue to bother me. When I reported this issue to Telstra, they suggested blocking their number as a solution. However, as a business owner, blocking their number would prevent me from transferring my landline number to my mobile phone when I decide to leave the office. But I must admit, using an air horn on the phone has proven to be quite effective! :-)
