Initially, the caller said he was from Prudential and tried to convince my wife to get insurance. When she kept saying no, he didn’t quit. Instead, he phoned daily, using rude and aggressive language. How come Prudential doesn’t look into this and use legal ways to put an end to it? This really damages Prudential’s image. It’s shameful that they employ such pushy salespeople. Honestly, I think it’s time we all stop being Prudential customers. Enough with Prudential!

Hey everyone, most of us probably have an RHB account, right? From what I’ve figured out, these scammers seem to be working from inside the bank itself. They must be RHB employees 'cause they already have all our info from the forms we filled when we opened our accounts. It looks like some staff are involved in the scam and using our details for this nonsense. Honestly, I think the best move is to report it to the police because our personal info isn’t safe at all now. You could try reporting to RHB too, but honestly, I’m not sure that’ll help much since we can’t tell which staff are actually scammers.

Honestly, I'm with you on this one. How come one single phone number is being used to call from loads of different places - like banks, telcos, and insurance firms? I got calls from the exact same number saying they’re from Maybank, Maxis, and even some insurance company all at once. It’s proper dodgy if you ask me. Surely, each company is meant to have their own legit number, not share with a bunch of others. Feels like a total scam or some sort of mix-up.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from Prudential about something called the pru-wellcare plan. They said it would only cost 70rm a month. So obvious a scam. Don't fall for it. Cheers, Yann

Got a call from Nur Suleina binti Mamat about something called RHB Bank Essential Cover 20. Anyone know if it's legit or just some scheme?

Just got a call from this number today, they said it was from RHB Bank about something called Essential Cover 20. I wasn’t sure if the plan was real or not, but I ended up agreeing to it. They said it costs RM78.20 every month for the first 10 years, and if I don’t make any claims, I’ll get some money back. After that, for the next 10 years, no payments are needed but the coverage continues. Honestly, I have no idea if this actually exists or if it’s legit. Hope Allah keeps us safe from these kind of scams. Amin.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number and the woman on the line actually knew my name. I tried ringing back afterwards, but it said the number wasn’t in service. She mentioned something about being from Essential Cover 20.

These scammers never quit! Just yesterday I got a call from someone claiming to be Hong Leong Bank. Right away, I noticed it was already 5:30pm - I thought their office hours during Ramadan finish at 4:30pm. I just told them I was busy and ended the call. Then this morning the same number kept ringing me again. How do they even find out our names like that? Honestly, stay alert everyone, it's getting tricky out here.

Sounds like a call centre to me. They probably ring you up pretending to be from WWF, UNICEF, some insurance company, or maybe even doing some survey.
