Got a call from +4412 01217785246 this morning around 11:06am. The person claimed there were some weird payments taken from my bank and told me to 'press 1 to stop them'. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Virgin Money’s Fraud Team. I shouted “scammer!” and slammed the phone down straight away. They rang again, telling me to relax and check the phone number on my debit card against the one that had called me. Apparently, the numbers matched apart from two digits, which could easily be mistaken. To be sure, I popped into my bank and they confirmed they hadn't contacted me. Definitely a major scam!

Someone called saying they were from Virgin Money's Fraud Department. I ended up shouting "you scammer" and just hung up. Then the caller rang back, telling me to relax and check the phone number on my debit card to compare it with the one that had just called me. Apparently, they only differed by two digits, which could easily be confused. I decided to pop into my bank, and they told me nobody from their end had been trying to contact me. Definitely a dodgy scam!

I got in touch with NatWest after noticing some dodgy transactions on my account, and they confirmed it was fraud. They said they’d blocked my card and sorted everything, admitting it was a scam. Then, not long after, I got another call from someone claiming to be from NatWest customer service, talking about more activity on my account. I told them the card was already cancelled but something felt off so I just ended the call. A few minutes later when I checked my balance, money was disappearing from my account again. I’m baffled because NatWest assured me my card was blocked earlier.

I noticed a 2.8k charge on my Starling account, then got a call from someone claiming to be Starling saying my account was at risk. They tried to get my info, but I didn’t give anything and ended the call. After that, I rang Starling myself and they confirmed it wasn’t them calling. Turns out, it was just another scam trying to steal my bank details. Always best to hang up and call the real number to double-check, just to be safe.

Last night, I got a call from a bloke who somehow knew my name and number. He claimed to be from NatWest’s Fraud Department and said there was a payment about to go through on my account. He even told me the name of the payee and asked if I recognised it. I told him I didn’t trust the call and ended it, warning him I’d report it. I managed to grab his number using 1471. Then I phoned the bank to check, and they confirmed there wasn’t any payment coming out. Pretty clear it was a scam attempt.

Got a call from 0345 7785246, some woman claiming to be from Lloyds fraud dept. She said there was suspicious activity on my account and asked if I’d shared any info with family. Sounded odd cos there was a weird gurgling noise in the background like she was underwater or something, and her accent definitely wasn’t from around here. I told her no and told her I'd hang up and ring the bank back myself. After that I just blocked the number and deleted it straight away.

I got a call from someone named Jack claiming to be from Barclays, saying there was a suspicious charge of about £400 from Booking.com tied to Kent. The guy kept stressing it was really urgent and told me to look at my mobile banking app. Then he asked for my activation code, and that’s when I just hung up. What freaked me out was he already knew the first line of my address right off the bat. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I got a call from some bloke who sounded really worried about stuff going on with my account. I told him to prove who he was, but he couldn’t back anything up. I even said he should get in touch via my bank’s app, but of course, that wasn’t possible. So, I just ended the call and phoned Barclays straight away, and they told me it was definitely a scam.

Totally a scam!! Got a call from someone claiming they were the Paypal fraud division, asking about a £120 payment to JD Sprts. They said my password had been changed a few times from Liverpool. They were surprisingly polite and even sent me a code to repeat back, but I told them I’d call back later ’cause it felt dodgy. They were still really nice about it, wished me a nice weekend and everything, but obviously, no way to ring them back!! Complete fraud!!
