Just like a few people said before me, I got a call from someone claiming to be from HSBC's fraud dept. They already had my name and address, and maybe even some numbers from my card. They said they needed to put me on hold to cancel two payments, one for £900 and another for £450, that supposedly happened earlier that day. I ended the call, and when they rang back, I didn’t pick up. Now I’ve blocked the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HSBC saying there was fraud on my account. They even had my name, address, and the last four numbers of my account. Something felt off, so I rang HSBC myself, turns out it’s a scam trying to nab your banking info. Watch out!

I got a call on my phone at about 4:01 this afternoon. When I picked up, a bloke said my name but then just hung up straight away. I looked up the number online afterwards and it asked me to report it. Apparently, it’s often connected with HSBC.

They said they were from HSBC and even mentioned the last three digits of my account. Then they went on about some attempt to arrange a direct debit and that there were three payments made. I just said I'd ring the fraud department myself and ended the call. So far, nothing has been taken out, seemed like a dodgy ploy to get my info.

Got a call from 0345 744 0440 tonight at 9:56pm. Sounds like it could be linked to Bank of Scotland or Lloyds Bank, but it definitely felt like a scam. My phone kept ringing non-stop until I ignored it and let it go to voicemail, then it rang again! I've blocked the number and reported it to my mobile network. Watch out for these scammers, they’re tricky. If you’re worried about your bank account, make sure you ring your bank from a different phone than the one that got the suspicious call.
