Got a call from this number pretending to be from HSBC, saying there was some suspicious activity on my account. Total scam, don’t share any details with them. I told them off and then rang HSBC myself, who said there was nothing dodgy going on and they wouldn’t contact me like that. They tried ringing again yesterday from 0800 169 9903 too. Avoid these lot!

Don’t trust this at all! When you hit 1, they start asking for your bank number on your phone, and then they can get into your account. Just hang up straight away and block them.

I got a call on Easter Sunday 2021, with someone pretending to be from HSBC, telling me there were several fraudulent transactions on my account. I know my bank wouldn’t ring me like that, so I told them I didn’t buy it and ended the call. It’s really concerning how these scammers manage to get hold of your personal info and phone number.

Somebody rang me saying they were from HSBC and said there had been recent tries to get into my account. I didn’t give them any info and suddenly the call just dropped. When I tried to call the number back, it wouldn’t connect at all.

Got two calls from people pretending to be the HSBC fraud team, which was weird since they didn't even get my name or number right. I hung up and rang HSBC myself to check, and they confirmed the number wasn't theirs and that they wouldn't get in touch like that over card issues. Definitely avoid giving these lot any details, they're up to no good.
