Got a call claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, but it was definitely a scam. Watch out!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from my credit card's fraud team. They insisted they were investigating a dodgy transaction, which seemed rather dubious. They claimed they’d need to block my account, but only after sending me a one-time passcode via email, which they wanted me to recite back to them. Naturally, I suspected foul play and, upon reaching out to the authentic fraud department, my suspicions were validated. It’s definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Nationwide Bank about a direct debit for insurance. Thankfully, the line dropped before they asked for any info. Best not to pick up if it rings.

Got calls from someone claiming to be with the bank fraud dept, kept using nasty threats. They’d ring, then just hang up. Honestly, this number really needs blocking and should be reported to the cops.

Some bloke called Isaac said he was from the Bank of Scotland fraud department, but when I didn’t fall for his nonsense, he got really rude. I told him straight that I work at a bank myself, so if there was a problem, I’d need a reference number to ring my bank and sort it properly. Instead of backing off, he started calling me names, which didn’t help his case. I ended up telling him where to go with a few choice words.

Got a call from someone saying they were from RBS, but they somehow already knew all my Nationwide bank details and made transactions. Seriously, don’t pick up and make sure you update your banking info!

they pretended to be from the rbs fraud dept and honestly sounded super professional, but this is just a scam. the people calling really know how to make it seem legit, very convincing stuff.

I got a call from someone saying there was an attempt to move money out of my account to another one. They wanted me to shift my funds to a new account number they gave, saying it was mine now. I rang my bank to check and they said they’d never do that kind of thing. When I told the caller I knew it was a scam, they just hung up on me. Really watch out for these calls, they’re quite convincing and try to get all your online banking info.

Got a call about a "safe account" and it turned out to be a total scam. I phoned Nationwide myself (they aren’t connected to RBS, by the way) to check. Nearly ended up sending my entire savings into some so-called "temporary safe account" that would probably vanish with my money. It sounded so real, it almost had me fooled. Moral of the story: always ring your bank directly using a number you trust before doing anything!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the RBS fraud team about some dodgy activity on my account. I wasn't convinced they were legit, so I just hung up.
