Phone number ☎️ 03457213141 👆 is reported as a genuine Bank of Scotland contact number primarily used for customer service and card replacement, but it has been extensively cloned by scammers. Fraudulent calls and texts claim suspicious transactions, card freezes, or account issues, often pressuring recipients to provide personal or banking information. These imposters frequently mimic bank procedures, sometimes using personalised details, making the scam appear credible. Several users warn of aggressive, persistent harassment, with some experiencing financial loss after following bogus instructions. Genuine callers seldom ask for sensitive data directly and advise contacting the bank through official channels. Visitors should remain cautious, avoid sharing details, verify any concerns independently with Bank of Scotland, and report suspicious activity promptly to protect against fraud.

Got a missed call from this number earlier while I was out, seems like it's buzzing again.

Got a recorded call about payments being declined on my BOScotland card - something about £800 and another around £100 for Amazon, but the exact sums escape me. The message said to press 1 to approve or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2 and then the call just cut off. I rang BOScotland myself afterwards and everything was fine with my account. Also called M&S since that’s the card I usually use for online shopping and they confirmed no issues. Honestly, don’t ever hand out your bank info over the phone - always double check with your bank first.

Just got a message telling me to ring Bank of Scotland on this number about my address on the account. I called and it sounded exactly like BOS asking about my account address. Felt dodgy so I looked it up here. I’ve never changed my address since opening the account, so why would they be asking? The text even had the last 4 digits of my account number, which seemed strange.

What a farce! I told him to bog off, and he just sniggered right at me. A con artist with a twisted sense of humour, it seems. I’m still scratching my head over how these blokes manage to slip through the cracks!

FAKE ALERT big time. From the Highlands in Scotland. Some bloke said someone was trying to get into my bank account and wanted me to change my password. I told him (he had an Indian accent) I'd report him to the police and he just laughed at me. Blocked his number right away. Watch out, these con artists sound legit and professional. If you’re unsure, always visit your bank in person and talk to a real person, especially if you’re not tech savvy.

These folks completely emptied my bank account, even drained my kids' savings. They claimed to be from Royal Bank of Scotland, calling from what looked like an official number. It all seemed so real, they said there was unusual activity on my online banking and I had to set up extra security to prevent a fraudster from stealing my money. They guided me through changing my online banking password and then they just stole everything.

These people are definitely scammers pretending to be from Bank of Scotland, even though the number looks like a real BofS one. They’ll warn you about some dodgy activity on your account and push you to move all your money to a "new" account they create. I reckon I’m on some kind of target list ’cause they ring me about once a week!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be Simon at "Bank of Scotland Fraud Prevention" saying there were two payments gone out to Howdens and Amazon from my account. They asked for my account info and mobile number to check. Sounded legit since I had actually used my account the night before. Best to follow the bank’s advice - just hang up, call your bank yourself, wait in the queue, and tell them about the call.

This was definitely a scam. They never asked any security questions or who was on the line, just kept asking about bank money. They said they were from BOS right away but I’m not convinced. Be careful. If you’re unsure, just hang up and ring BOS directly.

A man with a believable voice claimed he was calling from Bank of Scotland. He told me someone had used our bank account to pay a big amount at Amazon. I told him neither me nor my husband had done any online purchase, so he said he’d block the transaction and send us a letter to confirm. Just checked your website and found out it’s a con! Received a call around 9.20pm this evening, 17/8/2019. Some guy said he was from Bank of Scotland, telling me a direct debit of £1900 was being arranged. He knew our last name, our home phone number, and even the last 3 digits of our account. The call came from 0345 7213141, which actually is a valid bank number. Got a call from a Scottish Asian guy who claimed there were strange transactions on my Bank of Scotland account over the weekend. When I asked him to repeat himself, he suddenly switched it to Royal Bank of Scotland. I told him I wasn’t really convinced this call was legit, and he asked why. I said it was because he started with Bank of Scotland and then changed it to Royal Bank of Scotland. He then rudely told me to grab some earwax buds to clean my ears and hear better before hanging up.

I found it rather peculiar when the chap on the other end insisted on going through “security, mate.” I’ve never had bank personnel address me as mate before. It raised alarm bells, especially when he mentioned someone attempting to set up a standing order on my account. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

On 25.01 at 19:00, I got a call from this number saying they were from Barclays and that there had been a big payment taken from my account recently. I cant believe they’re using a real number to trick people like this.
