Phone number ☎️ 03457213140 👆 is reported as a persistent source of scam calls impersonating Bank of Scotland and other UK banks' fraud departments. Callers often claim suspicious activity on accounts or ask victims to transfer funds, frequently using personal details to appear credible. They may pressure victims to share sensitive information or make security changes over the phone. Genuine banks will never ask customers to move money to new accounts or provide banking details through unsolicited calls. Many victims report high pressure tactics, rapid speech, and refusal to let them verify the call independently. Recipients are advised to hang up and contact their bank directly using official numbers from a separate device. These calls often follow phishing texts pretending to be delivery services. Staying vigilant and not responding is crucial.

In just half an hour, I got a few calls after I accidentally fell for a text phishing scam. The person on the line said they were ADAM JOHNSON from BANK OF SCOTLAND and insisted that my mobile banking app had been hacked. He kept urging me to update my details right there on the phone. When I said I’d rather ring the bank myself, he started arguing with me and then abruptly went silent before I even hung up. The only details he had were the ones I’d already given to the scammers, no mention of GDPR or anything like that. The phishing text was pretending to be from Evri delivery as well.

I never pick up calls from unknown numbers or ones that don’t show up on my caller ID. If it’s really urgent, they'll leave a voicemail, right? I’m constantly getting scam calls, it’s like they never stop. You’d think with all the tech these days, there’d be a way to actually put a stop to it. Feels like some dodgy folks around the world just keep finding new ways to annoy us. It’s pretty frustrating!

Supposedly from the ROS fraud dept, they called me saying they were reviewing some "flagged" payments. They kept talking so fast it was hard to catch what they were saying properly.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from my bank's fraud team, like Halifax or Lloyds, and they even knew a few things about me to seem legit. They insisted I transfer money to a "new account" they'd supposedly opened to protect me. Don’t fall for it, no matter how believable they sound or if they send texts to back it up. Your bank will never ask you to move funds like that over the phone. Always ring your real bank back using a different phone to check what’s really happening.

Had a call just like others have mentioned here. A woman with a British accent said she was from the Bank of Scotland’s security team, warning me about suspicious activity and someone trying to swap my mobile number. She asked if I used PayPal and told me to set up some extra security questions. I rang the actual bank straight away and turns out it was a scam. Definitely a dodgy number!
