Phone number ☎️ 03456077088 👆 is reported as a contentious number associated with HSBC credit card services, specifically debt collection and missed payment reminders. While some users confirm its authenticity via official HSBC channels, many warn of persistent scam activity where impersonators use the number or similar ones to phish personal and financial information. Reports indicate the scam involves receiving letters, texts, or emails urging recipients to call, followed by requests for sensitive data. HSBC advises customers to verify contact through numbers on official cards or websites and never provide details to unsolicited calls. Due to widespread spoofing and fraudulent use, caution is essential; suspicious communications should be independently confirmed with HSBC and reported to relevant authorities to prevent fraud.

I keep getting fake letters claiming to be from HSBC. First, they asked me to confirm my credit card info, but now they send me a letter with an account number saying I owe £21.69. I showed these rubbish letters to my local HSBC branch, and they were shocked. The letters also mention these helplines: Citizens Advice 0345040506, National Debtline 08088084000, StepChangeDebt 08001381111, and Money Helper 08000113797, but I don't think they're legit either. When I’m really annoyed, I ring the bogus HSBC number and mess them up, always making sure to block my own number.

I received an email urging me to call a certain number, yet when I did, it was as if I was met with silence. I plan to reach out to my bank for clarity, as I have a hunch this might be a scam. So, do remain vigilant!

It began with an email telling me to call, and they picked a really odd moment when I was a bit distracted. They got me to give out all the info they'd need for a security check. Pretty clever, sounded just like the bored Indian monotone you'd expect if it was actually HSBC (which HSBC themselves barely made a fuss about). They tried to convince me to send a payment, but I held my ground. HSBC won’t do much, so just don’t send any money.

Don't trust the comment saying it's all safe. Sure, the number might seem legit, but these calls often come with dodgy links or can be spoofed. A mate phoned it back and got put through a normal HSBC security check, then ended up having loads of money stolen from his bank. Beware!

Don’t pay any attention to the bad reviews here. I’ve looked into it and this is a legit HSBC number, from their credit and debt team. If you got an email from [email protected] asking you to ring, it’s the real deal. If you want peace of mind, just ring HSBC using a different customer service contact.

It says the number is from HSBC (not sure how they figure that out). But I can say for certain it’s NOT on any official HSBC phone list. I rang HSBC’s customer service and they told me the email and number aren’t legit at all. Totally a SCAM. Make sure to report this scam to HSBC and also notify your email provider so they can block and report the phishing sender.

SCAM ALERT!!! Just ignore it. I’ve had loads of letters saying I owe £33.97 from what looks like HSBC UK. At least six of them now. They’re badly printed with spelling mistakes and the spacing in my name is all wrong. Total scam, don’t fall for it. They keep giving this number 0345 607 7088. Straight in the bin with those!

Haha, defo a scam in the daytime! HSBC would never just straight up ask for your card info like that...! I rang them 5 times today and they were really helpful 😊 Love these muppets tho, but I have informed HSBC’s phishing team about them. Feel bad for older folks who might fall for these disrespectful and disgraceful scammers. Please don’t hand out your card details and always check HSBC’s number on their official site! Cheers, Valentin

Got an email that looked like it was from HSBC, with all the usual privacy stuff mentioned and everything. The subject said 'Please contact us', which already felt a bit dodgy. When I called the number provided, the first thing they wanted was my sort code and account details. HSBC would never ask for that over the phone, so I just hung up and called HSBC myself. They told me they hadn’t sent any email today. Be careful out there.

Chatted with my aunt who works in HSBC’s fraud team over in South West London, and she said this is a proper clever SCAM. The number’s kinda real, and they even send fake emails that look seriously convincing. Honestly, and I don’t mean to sound racist, but if someone rings you with an Asian accent out of the blue, it’s usually a scam.

This number has been ringing me like 5 times every day for a whole week, saying they're from HSBC. When they asked for my info to check who I was, I told them to verify themselves first by sending me something through email or the app so I could be sure. They never got back to me, and the calls just kept coming for another week. I called HSBC myself today and they told me it definitely wasn’t them. Watch out!

Sanako Service Ltd is a fraudulent outfit based in the Marshall Islands. They run multiple scam businesses selling all sorts of dodgy stuff like PCR tests, life insurance, holiday rentals, live bullets, and crypto. Some of their sites include coin-mining-Farm.com, Riveraammunition.com, Finvestings.com, and Mind mining.com. They call using fake numbers that look like they come from legit UK companies. They also move their money through ClearJunction.com. Please make sure to report any shady calls to the FCA UK and Action Fraud UK.

It seemed like a legit call from HSBC, but I always hang up and then ring HSBC myself. They told me no-one tried reaching me today, so it’s definitely a scam. Never share any security info with someone who calls you out of the blue. Always contact the bank directly. Even though it says "Neutral" here, scammers can fake phone numbers, so you shouldn’t trust the caller ID.

Someone said they were from HSBC but wanted my phone security details. When I said I'd call back, they got pushy. If it's genuinely the bank, they should have no problem with you calling them later. If it’s a con or a fake number, they probably won't.

I received a call from 03456077088 not long ago, and it immediately raised my suspicions. The lady on the line seemed quite flustered as she tried to articulate the purpose of her call, but all she kept doing was pressing me for my personal information. I politely declined to share anything, which I could tell was rather frustrating for her. I eventually mentioned that I’d prefer to handle this matter online, and without another word, she abruptly terminated the call. Quite peculiar, really!

Just popped into HSBC after getting a really convincing email that looked proper legit, saying I had to call a certain number. IT WAS A SCAM!! Do not respond or call this number. Always check the number on the back of your card or visit the branch in person! Never ever click on links or ring strange numbers. Merry Christmas everyone!

Supposedly claimed to be from HSBC, though I doubt it's legit since I haven’t used their services for over 30 years. The call had a weird pause at the beginning, almost like they were ringing different numbers and hit one that finally picked up. I ended the call sharpish when I told them I was recording and monitoring it for fraud reasons.

03456 077088 showed up on 1471. They’ve been ringing quite a bit over the last month and a half since my dad passed away, but I’ve spoken to HSBC and they said they only get in touch by letter. The phone is always answered by an elderly woman who has dementia and struggles with short-term memory, and she gets really upset every time they call.

I rang the usual HSBC number and they told me to contact the financial team at 03456077088. Seems like a training issue coz this team couldn’t answer my question and just sent me back to the main line.

I missed the call so I looked up the number here. If it was HSBC, they usually leave a voicemail explaining the reason for the call.

I just got a call from 03456077088. The lady on the line knew my name and even mentioned my account number. She then asked for my card details but kept hesitating, with loads of "err" and "um" while she spoke. When I asked her what the call was about, she just ended the call.

This number is definitely a scam. They keep ringing my landline over and over. I checked with HSBC and they said they haven't been in touch. Then they did the same thing with my son, and he got the same story. This is NOT HSBC at all.

03456077088 I don’t get why folks are saying it’s a scam, it was just HSBC calling me about a late payment. The person on the phone mentioned a chat I had with HSBC a few months ago, even had my work number and everything, seemed totally legit to me.

I hung up on this bloke and rang back, and yep, it was HSBC. They told me they never make calls like that. They only use emails and letters to contact you. First, they ring up a month earlier just to check your name. Then some robot asks for your info, and later someone calls again acting like they already know everything about you. It's proper clever but it’s a big con. Don’t fall for it!!!!!

03456077088, Absolute SCAMMERS, This is definitely NOT HSBC. I called the real HSBC number and their customer service confirmed they haven’t called me from this number. They said I need to reset my details if I spoke to anyone from it or any other suspicious calls, as HSBC hasn’t contacted me in ages.

Got a letter from HSBC about their Card Holder Repayment Policy linked to an old Mastercard of mine that’s about to be cancelled because I’m turning 65. Rang the number on the letter to find out more. They kept asking loads of personal ID stuff and even tried to trick me into sharing my PIN. Sounded dodgy to me.

This is definitely a scam, they didn’t even ask any security questions. They just wanted my card number, full name, dob, and then asked for my account password. I called HSBC and they told me there’s no sign anyone legit tried to reach me. The person on the phone wasn’t professional at all and got really jumpy when I said I’d call HSBC back using their app. Plus, there was loads of background noise you wouldn’t expect on a proper HSBC call.

Actually real HSBC phoning me today because I’d gone past my credit limit on my card thanks to a subscription I forgot to cancel. They listed some recent transactions I’d done which a fraudster wouldn’t have had any clue about.

Absolutely dodgy behaviour! They didn't even bother to verify my phone's security details.

This must be a scam right? The very first thing they asked me for was my bank card details, and when I asked if they needed to verify me with security questions first, there was a long silence before they just asked again for my card info. To those saying it’s legit, isn’t it just a weird coincidence that you happened to owe money on a credit card or something?

This phone number looks like HSBC but it’s not them ringing you, it’s a scam. Technology is great but it can also be easily abused. When you try to check it on sites like this or dial 1471, the number that pops up isn’t 03456077088 - it’s just tech being misused.

VERY SUSPICIOUS SCAM ALERT! BE VERY CAREFUL! NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR NAME OR PERSONAL INFO IF THIS NUMBER CALLS YOU. I called them back and got an automated message saying thanks for contacting HSBC. It then told me to press 1 to make a payment or 2 to talk to someone. I pressed 2 and spoke to a person who immediately asked for my sort code and account number. They never asked for my name, password, or any security questions. This made me certain this is a scam and totally unsafe.

Absolute scammers! Been getting calls from them every day this past week, only picked up once. They said they were from HSBC, but I didn’t share any info and told them I'd sort things out in person at my local branch since I like to handle banking face to face. When I checked at the branch, the staff said they hadn’t tried to contact me since May - almost two months ago! There was no record at all of any calls. Proper glad I kept my details to myself and have now blocked the number.
