03456052324 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03456052324 👆 is reported as a number associated with both genuine HSBC fraud alerts and sophisticated scams. Many users received texts or calls warning of suspicious card activity; some confirmed by contacting HSBC via official numbers, others revealed as fraudulent after checking with the bank. Genuine HSBC fraud calls typically verify partial personal info such as date of birth or postcode and do not request full card or PIN details. However, scammers often spoof this number and may sound convincing, sometimes using foreign accents. The safest approach is to never provide sensitive information during such calls and to always verify any alerts by contacting HSBC directly using the contact number printed on your bank card or official website. Vigilance and caution are advised to avoid falling victim to fraud.

Wasn't totally sure if it was legit so I used the app and told the chatbot what went down. Had a look at my account and no money had been taken out. In the end, I chose to cancel my card and get a replacement. Be careful with these messages, they could be dodgy.

TOTALLY A SCAM. They act like they're from HSBC fraud team and they really sound convincing. If you're uncertain, just end the call and call the number on the back of your bank card yourself.

Got a call from what said it was HSBC fraud team. They never asked for any of my bank details though. Knew my real postcode too. They checked with me about one transaction that was legit. This really is a genuine HSBC fraud number. I got a call warning me about some suspicious activity from the US. They blocked my card and sent a replacement. I was a bit iffy at first because of all those cold call scam stories, so I rang the number on my HSBC card just to be sure. They couldn’t give me a full list of fraud numbers, but they did confirm that someone from their fraud team had recently contacted me and done what they said. So yep, this number is for real.

Got a voicemail from this number, saying they were from HSBC and that my credit card was blocked, asking me to email them at a certain address. Earlier the same day, I had another voicemail from 07541176394, also claiming to be HSBC, telling me my card was blocked and to call their fraud team at a provided number. I phoned HSBC on their official number and was told my card was fine and not blocked at all. After the second call, I went to my bank, played both messages, and they confirmed it was definitely a scam.

Didn’t trust the recorded voice, so I looked up the number online and they seem legit, but when I went to my nearby HSBC branch and asked the staff, they confirmed it was a scam. Just to add on to what I said before, when I rang HSBC using the number on the back of my card, they did confirm it was them calling. They were checking in about some payments that got declined the day before. Still, I’d say it’s best to do what I did and ring the number on your card to be sure.

Got a missed call from this number. Looked it up here and it seemed legit, so I phoned back. Right away they asked me for my sort code and account details, but no security checks were done first! I didn’t give them anything and was told to ring the number on the back of my bank card. I did, and went through the proper steps. HSBC really should sort out their security - making callers go through no checks doesn’t inspire any confidence.

Got a text that looked a bit dodgy from HSBC, so I called their fraud department. Turned out it was genuine, and they actually cancelled my card - someone tried to use it to pay for a food delivery. They checked my recent transactions to make sure nothing else was off. Now I need to pick up a new card from my nearest branch. This isn’t some sort of scam at all. It’s a legit call. They won’t ever ask for your passwords, but they do have you answer some security questions to check you’re who you say you are. For example, they might give you the start of your postcode and ask you to finish it, or tell you the day you were born and ask for the month and year. When I got this call, they asked me to confirm some recent transactions on my bank account.

I got a call from this number but there was no voicemail. When I rang back, the person said it was the HSBC fraud team and explained the reason for the earlier call. Loads of folks reckon it’s a scam but I’m thinking it’s someone cloning the number to target HSBC clients.

Got a call from this number saying there was suspicious activity on my account. They asked me for my postcode and DOB to verify stuff, said they'd freeze my card and send a new one since I didn’t know about the transaction - apparently it happened while I was sleeping. I rang the number back to see if it was actually HSBC and after a ringing tone, an automated HSBC voice picked up. So, I reckon it’s legit!

I got a call saying there was some fraud on my account and they wanted me to give personal info like my dob and postcode for security checks. I rang HSBC myself and they said it really was their fraud department and there's been fraud on my account. To me this seemed legit but if other ppl are saying it’s a scam maybe the scammers are faking the number?

Got a call late, about 9pm, from someone saying he was Malcolm from HSBC’s fraud team. Since it was well past their usual working hours, I wasn’t able to call back to check. Pretty clear that was a dodgy scam call.

Definitely a scam call.

It's bad enough getting calls from dodgy fake numbers, but now these scammers are even faking real numbers! Always, I mean ALWAYS, keep your personal details to yourself - no names, addresses, birthdates, mum's maiden name, passwords, or bank info however legit the call sounds. That said, don’t just brush off the call either, it could be something serious with your account. Best bet is to ring your bank directly using the number on your statements or visit your branch in person, preferably using a different phone or waiting a little while before you make the call.

Definitely a dodgy number, watch out!

Try to get a number to ring back. This must be a con.

I rang HSBC on their normal phone banking number and got through to their fraud team. Apparently there were 2 failed tries on my debit card yesterday at a website I don’t even know. The fraud team tried to call me on my mobile last night but I didn’t pick up as the number looked unfamiliar. Later they told me the number actually was from HSBC fraud dept.

Got a missed call from this number, so I rang HSBC to check. They said they hadn’t tried to get in touch with me at all. It looks like they’re either faking the number or it’s a complete scam - either way it’s dodgy as hell. When you ring back, it just feels off and sketchy. Definitely something fishy going on here.

I called HSBC to check and they said this number isn’t theirs at all. So don’t bother calling it. Number: 0345 605 2324 really dodgy, stay clear!

This isn’t a scam. They called me initially and never asked for any password or account details. They just looked at my recent payments and asked if I wanted to block the card. Seemed like a real HSBC caller to me.

This is totally real. I got a couple of texts from this number earlier today, so I rang HSBC and found out there was actually fraud on my account. I don’t get why some folks are saying this is fake!

This number showed up on my phone claiming to be HSBC fraud. I was unsure about picking up so I just ignored it and called the HSBC number on the back of my debit card instead. They told me their fraud team hadn’t contacted me at all. This is NOT a real call from HSBC. It looks like it’s from them but it’s actually a clever SCAM. Best to always reject these calls and if you’re unsure, always call HSBC directly using the number on your debit card.

I didn’t pick up the call but after seeing this post, I rang HSBC fraud team and they told me HSBC hadn’t actually phoned me. There was also a tiny charge that got declined, which I definitely didn’t make. So they’ve cancelled my card and sent me a new one now.

Received a call from this number but I missed it. After a quick search on Google, it seems this number has been associated with numerous calls falsely representing HSBC. I reached out to HSBC directly, and they confirmed they hadn’t attempted to contact me at all. Additionally, there was a tiny transaction that they refused to acknowledge, which I certainly didn’t authorise. Consequently, they’ve cancelled my card and are sending me a new one.

Got a text earlier today saying there was suspicious activity on my HSBC card and to ring a certain number. Didnt really trust it so I looked up the number on HSBC's official site and called them instead. They put me through to their fraud team and they said the text was real. So yeah, the number they gave was proper HSBC.

Definitely not a scam. I rang them back and it was actually an Indian call centre. They looked into my recent transaction and managed to stop the fraudulent charge. They also cancelled my bank card and sent me a replacement.

Im pretty sure this is a scam, cause I met with the manager at my local HSBC and we checked the system together, then they confirmed with the proper HSBC fraud team. This number definitely isn’t from HSBC. If you read the positive reviews carefully, the way they’re worded and written sounds like they all come from one person, and English doesn’t seem to be their first language. Total scam, probably from somewhere shady.

This was HSBC calling. I ignored the call at first but then looked up the number in my notes to confirm it was really them, so I rang back. It’s an Indian call centre, but after verifying my identity they were able to spot some suspicious activity on my account. They told me my card had been targeted by fraudsters - cheers HSBC for catching it! Luckily, I didn't lose any cash this time.

For sure it’s HSBC Bank. I saw a missed call from this number and called the bank using the number on my card just to double check. They did say it was them calling, just making sure no funny business is happening with my account. So yeah, they are actually doing a legit job, not some sort of scam.

Got a text from 03456052324 saying it was from the Fraud Department, saying my bank account had been hacked and to call that number. I didn’t call the number in the message and instead rang my bank directly. The bank just confirmed that they never sent me any text like that from fraud dept.

At first, I figured this was some kind of scam. BUT IT WASN’T. It really was the HSBC FRAUD TEAM calling. I didn’t ring back the number that called me but got in touch with HSBC through their official contact details instead. Turns out, there were three dodgy transactions on my account that they’ve now stopped. MY TIP: don’t just brush off the call, but if you’re unsure, get hold of HSBC using a number you trust and make sure it’s legit.

This number just rang me asking for the last three figures of my postcode along with my DOB. The person on the line spoke with a very strong Indian accent. Still, after checking with my bank, it turned out it really was HSBC fraud prevention calling. SO IT WAS LEGIT. That said, clever scammers might spoof this number. Best thing is to hang up and ring your bank directly to confirm.

This number belongs to HSBC’s Fraud Department call centres. Just to be safe, it’s a good idea to return the call in case someone’s pretending to be them. Since these call centres are located abroad, the person on the other end might have an accent. Don’t just hang up on these calls; instead, ring them back using the contact details listed on HSBC's official website. You won’t see this exact number displayed publicly because HSBC keeps it hidden to help stop spoofing.

So, I was trying to boost a Facebook ad and my card suddenly got declined. Then, I got this text from 07537438060 saying it was an HSBC Fraud Alert, telling me to ring them or that someone would be in touch soon. I decided to call the number on the back of my debit card just to double check. The bank confirmed they'd blocked my card due to suspicious activity. Turns out, the text was legit and that number really belongs to HSBC. Eventually, I had my card unblocked.
