4 yearsBeware, this is clearly a con! The individual on the other end professed to be from Direct Line but was utterly vague about the purpose of their call, insisting instead that I confirm my identity. Naturally, I refused to divulge any information. Subsequently, I received a rather alarming text asserting that my car had been in a crash and they urged me to get in touch with them. I chose to ignore their message, and not long after, they sent me a letter. Upon comparison, I noticed it didn't match a legitimate correspondence - the contact number was different and there was no policy number included. To top it off, they attempted to ring me yet again and left a voicemail pleading for a callback. I've since blocked their number. It’s a scam that could easily trip someone up!Direct Line5 yearsI’ve just had a rather dodgy letter from Privilege car insurance, claiming that our car has been in an accident, complete with a reference number. The coincidence is unsettling since we actually have our policy with them. I gave them a ring, but couldn’t get any details.
