Got two missed calls from this number. The first voicemail was supposedly from Raj at Virgin Media’s complaints dept, but the second message was just nonsense. Got a call earlier today from a guy claiming to be with O2. He called me by my first name and said there was some suspicious stuff on my account. He wanted to do some security checks first, but I wasn’t having any of it and told him I didn’t believe he was actually from O2. He got a bit rattled and told me to ring 202. I just ended the call and phoned O2 myself afterwards, and they told me they hadn’t made any calls.

I don’t think this is actually VM. I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, and the number began with +44, so it was meant to look like a UK call but felt off. It seemed like she was pretending to be from VM to fool me. The main thing she wanted was to make me answer loads of security questions. I told her to send me an email instead, and she said she’d have to shut down my account since I wouldn’t play along. But nothing ever showed up in my inbox. Watch out for this!

I got a missed call from this number on my mobile today at about 10.51 am 1/8/24, but my phone automatically blocked it so I didn’t pick up. No voicemail or anything left. Later, I looked it up on this site and noticed it’s been ringing lots of other people too. I don’t have any connection with Virgin Media, so I have no clue how they found my number. Then they just ended the call. When I rang back, the voicemail was from Virgin Media! Definitely not O2. They obviously knew about our O2 account and the issue we had with it.
