I've had calls from this number quite a few times, but I didn't pick up and waited for a voicemail which never came through. So, I decided to look it up online. Turns out, it is linked to the fraud team of Lloyds Group. Still, I'd always recommend calling the number on the back of your debit or credit card to be 100% sure you're speaking to your bank. That’s what I ended up doing and everything got resolved in the end.

This isn’t a scam, the number really is from Lloyds Group’s Fraud Department. They just want to check if there’s anything wrong with your card. I’d say always use the number on the back of your debit or credit card to call, then go from there.

I got a call from what seemed like the fraud department at Halifax or Lloyds bank. They said they could block your card and give you your money back if anything dodgy had happened. At first, I was a bit suspicious because the call started with an automated message, but then you get connected to a real person quite fast. They went through some legal stuff, never asked me for my PIN or anything private, and were pretty polite - pretty much what you'd expect from a proper bank team. It’s actually refreshing to have a bank trying to protect your cash before something goes wrong.

I got a call from this number, said they were from Halifax/Lloyds bank fraud department. They told me they could block my card and give me my money back if there was any unauthorised use.
They talked about the legal stuff and never once asked for my pin or anything like that. They were polite and sounded just like a proper bank team should.

Both my partner and I got recorded calls from this number, where they actually used my name and said they were from LloydsTSB. I rang LloydsTSB’s support team to check and they said the number is genuine. Just to be safe, I rang Halifax myself using the number printed on my card and it was a good move - they told me someone tried to make unauthorised transactions on my credit card.
