I've had calls from this number quite a few times, but I didn't pick up and waited for a voicemail which never came through. So, I decided to look it up online. Turns out, it is linked to the fraud team of Lloyds Group. Still, I'd always recommend calling the number on the back of your debit or credit card to be 100% sure you're speaking to your bank. That’s what I ended up doing and everything got resolved in the end.

This isn't a scam at all; the number is actually linked to the Fraud Department of Lloyds Group. If you're ever in doubt about your card, it's best to ring the number found on the back of your credit or debit card and follow their guidance from there. Stay safe!

I've received several calls lately, all seemingly automated, purporting to be checking for potential fraud regarding a Halifax card. Strangely enough, this card was declined during an online payment I attempted (for a council bill). The account is actually in my daughter's name, so I’ve advised her to get in touch with the bank straight away. Unsure at this stage if it’s a scam or just standard procedure.

I received a call from them today. We're not clients of Lloyds, and they didn't address us by our actual name; rather, they used someone else's. I've since blocked the number.

Just got a call from this number aswell, it was one of those robotic messages saying there was suspicious activity on my Lloyds credit card. After doing a bit of digging, I reckon this is a scam setup, and those comments up top saying it’s legit are probably fake too, trying to trick people. They’re properly sneaky, I tell ya!

I got a call from what seemed like the fraud department at Halifax or Lloyds bank. They said they could block your card and give you your money back if anything dodgy had happened. At first, I was a bit suspicious because the call started with an automated message, but then you get connected to a real person quite fast. They went through some legal stuff, never asked me for my PIN or anything private, and were pretty polite - pretty much what you'd expect from a proper bank team. It’s actually refreshing to have a bank trying to protect your cash before something goes wrong.

I've just had a chat with this number, and it turns out it belongs to the fraud department of Halifax/Lloyds Banking Group. They’re able to freeze your account and sort out refunds if there are any unauthorised transactions. They were quite thorough, referencing the relevant legal guidelines, and didn't request any PINs or sensitive details, which is rather reassuring. The representatives were exceptionally courteous, exactly what you’d hope for from a banking institution. I'm quite confident that this number is legit!

Got a call from this number, turns out someone was trying to book a hotel using my credit card. Luckily, Lloyds blocked the charge, so everything’s fine now. Very glad it was caught in time.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Lloyds Bank fraud division, saying there was strange activity on my card online. I decided to ring Lloyds directly using the number on my card just to be sure, and it turned out to be legit. Apparently, someone tried to buy flight tickets with my card, but Lloyds dealt with it straight away. What a relief!

Both my partner and I got recorded calls from this number, where they actually used my name and said they were from LloydsTSB. I rang LloydsTSB’s support team to check and they said the number is genuine. But weirdly, they also told me that LloydsTSB wouldn’t normally ask customers for personal info in outgoing calls, which clashes with their usual security warnings. Bit confusing, really.

I've come across several remarks regarding this phone number and I'm a bit torn between whether it's a legitimate call from the bank or just another scam. This morning, we received a couple of automated messages aimed at my husband, alerting him about suspicious activity on his credit card. Since he’s currently away for work, I've advised him to ring this number. Is anyone able to shed some light on whether this is trustworthy or not?

I got a call from this number, and it turned out to be legit, from Halifax or Lloyds about some dodgy charges on my card. Just to be safe, I rang Halifax myself using the number printed on my card and it was a good move - they told me someone tried to make unauthorised transactions on my credit card. Yesterday, my mum was inundated with four automated calls from this number, claiming to be from Lloyds, alerting her to some supposed fraudulent activity on her account. However, she doesn't even bank with Lloyds! Upon getting in touch with Lloyds' security team, they confirmed it’s a SCAM designed to fish for personal information. Just a heads-up to everyone-stay vigilant!

I received a rather dubious communication from a company attempting to extract information concerning my Nationwide bank account and credit card. They messaged me and also reached out via both my mobile and home phones. Oddly enough, they seemed to know the last four digits of my card, even though I haven’t touched it in three years! I’ve since blocked their numbers, just to be on the safe side!

I don't get why someone familiar with this number would come here just to say something nice about it? You should ring the number on the back of your card instead to see if there's any issue!

I've confirmed that this phone number belongs to the legitimate Lloyds Fraud Prevention team. It's wise to verify your bank's official website-just to ensure it’s the right one and safe to use-and to cross-check any contact numbers before you engage with them. In my situation, the call turned out to be authentic; my wife received a call following some texts alerting her to a potentially fraudulent transaction on her account.

I received a phone call from this number earlier today, claiming to be from Lloyds' fraud prevention team. It was all automated, and when I mentioned that no one was available, it prompted me to ring back this same number. I plan on contacting the number located on the back of my card instead to verify my account details. Seems rather fishy to me!

Got a message supposedly from Bank of Scotland saying they'd ring me tomorrow to chat. When I looked up this number, turns out loads of folks have had calls and texts from it too, but for Lloyds Bank? Lloyds AND Bank of Scotland using the same number? Sounds like a dodgy scam to me!

Received a number of calls today, all from an automated system with a woman’s voice claiming to be from Lloyds, mentioning suspicious activity on my credit card. I’ve had three of these interruptions. Curiosity got the better of me, so I pressed a couple of buttons, and they immediately started asking for my date of birth. I hung up before they could get any further. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I've had a total of five calls from this number over the past week. Each time, it's the same automated spiel warning me about suspicious transactions linked to my Lloyds account, urging me to punch in any number to verify my identity. I’ve promptly disconnected each time without engaging. The funny thing is, I don’t even bank with Lloyds! It’s becoming increasingly tiresome!

Received a rather unsettling call today, of all days being Boxing Day, from a robotic voice claiming to represent the Fraud Prevention department at Lloyds. Strangely enough, it appeared to have quite an extensive amount of personal information about me. After about three hours, I dialled 1471 to trace the number and, upon calling it back, it once again recognised me. Quite concerning, to say the least!
