Somebody phoned pretending to be from Eon, asking to talk to the manager or the person in charge about accepting a new contract. I told them we’re not customers of Eon, and when they asked who our supplier is, I didn’t answer. The call dropped a few times, but they called straight back. In the end, they hung up as soon as they didn’t get the details they were after.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Eon Energy, saying they were our supplier. Thing is, Eon isn't even our supplier and they argued with me about the name of my business. Definitely not who they said they were.

I got in touch with Eon directly and they explained it was a scam. They helped me put a password in place for any future calls, so now I ask for that password straight away. These scammers call nearly every day, and when I ask for the password, they just hang up. Honestly, don’t share any personal info with them - it’s definitely a con!

First, they tried to speak to the manager, then asked for the owner. After that, they started asking about our electricity deals, but as soon as we began to answer, they just hung up. They called back shortly after, repeating the exact same questions.

Got a call asking for the manager about my electricity. They seemed sure I was with British Gas, but I’m not and didn’t want to reveal who I actually use. They kept pushing me to pick from different providers on their list. I told them I reckoned this call was a bit dodgy, and after that, they just hung up on me.
